Great winter hike! saw 2 stellar blue jays and a few warblers. Gorgeous canyon. Although the stream was fairly frozen it was beautiful too. It was a great and easy hike there and back. Glad we wore our crampons. Snow shoes not a great idea for the iceiness.
Erik takes the best pictures of Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. We make it a point to stop at his studio every trip out to Estes. We are planning a trip there this fall to partake in the parks 100th anniversary. Erik is the selected photographer of the park. We have three of his photos from different parks of the park and love them dearly as they are spots that we have put our feet on. Like him on facebook to see the teasers he posts. Visit him online if you cannot visit in person.
Such a quaint shoppe and extremely helpful staff. The photography and choices of formats make it almost too difficult to choose.
Stopped by to inquire about pictures for our new condo in Estes! Loved getting a personal tour and talking about options for my walls. Rachelle was very helpful and personable, which balancing multiple customers. Bought 3 new calendars as presents for my family. We are going back again to pick out our pieces! Erik is so very talented and we are honored to also have his autographed new book celebrating RMNP's Centennial celebration.
I have Erik Stensland's photographs framed and hanging in our home. His images are exquisite and breathtaking, and his new book of images "Wild Light" is like a meditation...stunning images, emotionally moving, with thought-provoking text. He is clearly an incredible artist and spiritually-attuned man. Make sure you visit his gallery when visiting Estes Park!
The beauty of Estes surrounds you. Before leaving you must stop by Images of Rocky Mountain National Park. One of these amazing pictures will allow you to bring the beauty home with you. Warning - It is hard to go in without buying something!
We stumbled upon Erik's gallery a few yrs ago and hav been big fans ever since! We have one extremely huge photo in our bedroom and another large photo in our living room, and several smaller size ones. And we aren't done yet! We also purchased his beautiful new book and calendar. We need more wall space because we love all of Erik's work! We are from Oklahoma and visit the gallery every summer when we go there for vacation. There are several good photographers in Estes Park but none compare to Erik! The clarity in his photos are stunning and his eye for capturing the beauty of our "home away from home" is simply breath taking!! His staff has always been wonderful, informative and very friendly whether on the phone, emails, or in person. We are happy we found this gallery and love Erik and all his staff!
The title says it all. I've been going to Estes Park since the late 80's and have been in almost every gallery in town. Erik's gallery should be on everyone's MUST DO list when visiting. You will not regret it!
Trying to decide how to fit weeks of activities in and around Rocky Mountain National Park into the few days you have available? Here’s how to kill several birds with one stop in downtown Estes Park; just make sure you devote enough time to really experience it. The stop is ‘Images of RMNP,’ a gallery of fine photographic art of Rocky Mountain National Park directly across the street from Bond Park. How does this gallery kill the proverbial “several birds” with one stop? Rocky Mountain National Park contains 355 miles of hiking trails. Few people beyond the most dedicated hikers ever experience the sights that are present along all those trails. One of those few is Erik Stensland, the photographer whose exquisite works grace the walls of the ‘Images of RMNP’ gallery. I know… you’re questioning how a gallery can begin to capture the grandeur and beauty that is this special place. Well, you can take my word for it… or… you can set out to prove me wrong. Either way, just make sure you devote enough time to really experience what took Erik Stensland over ten years to capture.
We stopped in this shop during our summer 2014 vacation after having read about it on the internet. The owner/photographer himself was there and was just the nicest man. His photography was amazing. We knew we wanted to buy something to have in our home to remind us of this beautiful area, but it was really hard to choose. Finally a few months later we decided which one we wanted and the ordering process and delivery was so easy. I love looking at our picture every day! Besides loving the photo, it was nice that we had been able to meet Erik while at his shop.
