Great price excellent riding trail. Was very impressed with Zoey, she paid great attention to what was going behind her. We had a 5year old first time rider and Zoey made us very comfortable. Thank you for a great experience
Easy online reservation system. Horses were saddled and ready to go when we arrived. The views on the trail as we went up the mountain were gorgeous. There was quite a bit of snow on the ground and we hit a few slippery spots, but the horses were steady and sure. Fun, sweet guide who chatted about various horses and her background as well as highlights on the trail. Well worth the time and money.
This was a great experience ...Deb was fantastic guiding us on a majestic mountain ride...if you ever get the chance these folks will take care of you....and the horses are terrific too!!
Found a deal on Groupon for our family to go horseback riding. It was great! Our family of five were the only ones in the group with a guide. We had a blast and went on a nice stroll through the hills. We even had a mule deer join us for a while!
Faith is an excellent tour guide and we both enjoyed our ride very much. We did the one hour ride, I don't think I could have done much more, a little sore the next day but not bad. Trail is well worn. Lots of uphill and downhill. Great scenery.
Did an hour horseback ride and really enjoyed every second of it. The guide was great and the views were amazing. The horses were well behaved and kind. Would totally recommend!!
Loved the horse ride. Might want to give heads up the trail is very steep and narrow. Horses were well behaved and sweet. Guide was experienced and knowledgeable.
My boyfriend and I booked a two-hour trail ride when we visited Estes Park. Winter is a slow season for them, so we lucked out and didn't have anyone else other than the guides on the ride with us. The horses that we rode (Gus and Fritz) were large horses and seemed quite comfortable making their way through snow and up the mountain. The guides chatted some and answered all of our questions, but also let us enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of the ride. There were some spectacular views of the town and the mountains that we would have missed had we not gone on the ride. We even rode up on some deer and elk that were a stone's throw away from us. What a treat! I will definitely book another ride with Sombrero Ranch next time I'm in Estes Park.
Ruger was very sure footed on the icy, snowy, muddy path. It was quite impressive. Zoey was a great wrangler, making all the riders feel safe and like they were doing well. The trail had a variety of views considering we only signed up for the 2-hour ride. The day we were signed up to ride originally had 35 MPH winds and I had no problem rescheduling for the next day.
Took the 2 hour ride in March. The views on this ride are amazing and at many times it felt like we were in an era 150 years earlier enjoying the countryside by horseback. I am an experienced rider, but would say this ride is not for the faint of heart or people who are wary or fearful of heights or horses. I think the management should do a little better job of questioning the experience level of clients and pairing them with the right horse and/or warning inexperienced riders of the challenging terrain. Other than that, it was one of the top 3 trail rides I've ever taken!
