Nice variety of outlet stores. I especially enjoy stopping at the Naturalizer and Famous Footwear stores.
Went for a shopping trip, some good deals, some not so much even though it was back to school time. No good selection of restaurants, so that was a disappointment.
We go to this mall a lot. It has a nice mix of stores, and although not all are truly "outlets", it offers a nice selection and nice prices. A great variety of stores that appeal to outdoor enthusists, chefs, parents, home goods, etc. It is amazingly always busy! There are not a lot of places to eat here, and you have to walk outside between stores (and it is quite a hike if you start at one end and go to the other). Sign up online before you go - they email you lots of coupons and discounts.
The Albertville Premium Outlets is very close to home, so we go there sometimes. Preferably, I'd visit an indoor mall, but that's just me. This mall only had a Subway, TCBY/Mrs. Fields, & Burger King for food, so... you know.
There is about 100 different brand name outlets in a short little area. I always find something that I can not live with and the prices are lower than the mall. I would def recommend for people shopping for clothes, accessories, or housewares items.
I was surprised when I went to the Bath and Body Works expecting to be able to buy shampoo which is usually available only online or at outlets and being told that this store was NOT an outlet. When I expressed surprised, the sales clerk told me that only 30% of the stores in this mall are outlets. Those that are expressively say OUTLET or something similar on their signs. When I asked why it is called an outlet mall, she replied that the name may be changing soon.So to me, it was not worth driving 45 minutes to this mall and having to walk outside from store to store when the weather was below zero (this was an unusually cold weekend for early December even for Minnesota). I would rather go to the mall of America where everything is inside. The Coach store was so busy that they were limiting customers inside the store and making people wait outside!People have said this before but I think it bears repeating that just because the store is in an outlet mall don't expect everything to be marked down. I was looking at a pair of boots at Ugg Australia that were supposedly marked down from $250 to $199. But when I looked them up on my iPhone on the UGG website (not Amazon or Zappo's), they sold for $200 regularly. But at least you can try them on and be guaranteed a good fit. With that said, you can get deals at the outlets. If you sign up on their website to be a VIP member before you go shopping, you can pick up a coupon book at the Info Center for free (usually costs $5.00). This consists of deals such as an extra 10% of purchases of $150 or more at Under Armour, $15 off purchase of $80 or more at Rockport, etc. I wouldn't pay $5.00 for it but for free, why not? Not all stores in the mall are included in the coupon book, e.g. Ugg Australia, The Cosmetics Company Store and Coach.
Returned a pair of ECCO shoes to the ECCO store. They had told me they had a 1 year replacement warranty when i bought them. I had the shoes 4 months and the soles started to come off....the store said they "Do not do " In store replacement. I had to ship the shoes off in a bag (The shipping was paid) to NuShoes and they told me it will take 4-6 weeks for any information on replacement, if the will be replaced.I was not happy
Loved the flying circus toy store. I don't have many that need toys anymore but great, fun toys that you can't find just anywhere. Many great other stores such as Harry & David, American eagle, aeopostile
If you are about the northern suburbs, is worth the stop. If you do not like winter, I recommend you go to the indoor mall of America, where you will pay around 20 to 40% more is my estimate. I found Levi's Jeans for under 20 bucks in the clearance rack. I checked Eddie Bauer and a down parka was around $179. Oshkosh prices where not that much different than when I go to Kohl's with a 30% coupon, except that they had more variety. There are 5 public restrooms ,usually one per mall block.
I love shopping here! Some things are a ridiculous bargain and others are still a little expensive but there is a vast variety of stores and a great time!
