This is a small zoo, but well kept. The animals look healthy. There is plenty of parking and places to purchase food. The reptile building was very nice. The education center was closed as they prepared for the Christmas holiday activities. It was nice to see teenagers volunteering there. Some of the displays were empty. It has the potential to be a very nice zoo if it received more funding.
We were in town visiting our grandson and great grandson (two years old) and had some time to kill so we went to the zoo. I was pleased with the admission price, the presentation of the wildlife, and our time spent. There were not very many people there while we were visiting so we were able to take a lot of time looking at the Lions, Tigers, and Bears........
We love to go to zoos and this was our 3rd in 5 weeks of travel. This was the smallest of the three and very clean and well kept. Keepers were friendly and the information about the animals was very informative. We spent a few hours and ended up walking around the circular design twice. Great for kids.
The zoo is SMALL, so do not expect anything large like you would see in OKC or Dallas. My husband and I took our one year old here for his first visit to a zoo. It was the perfect size for a toddler. The exhibits were clean, the animals seemed happy. I really enjoyed the tiger and lion exhibit, you didn't have to strain to try to find them or see them. They are right there, to where you can take great pictures. Admission is really cheap, and we were able to go through everything within an hour. Would highly recommend for small children, or for first visits to the zoo!
Felt bad seeing the lions & tigers in such a small enclosure. Wish they'd expand. Male lion definitely put on a great show of voicing his opinion for food at feeding time. FREE on Mondays.
This is a great little zoo. So well kept, all the animals look happy and well cared for. It only costs $4 admission so it's well worth the money.
This is a small zoo but it is kept nice and neat. The animals are cared for and it shows. The kid's loved going because it is not an enormous zoo that takes all day to go through.
The zoo is small but it has great enclosures and fun animals. They always have events here that are fun to participate in. The new herpetarium is very nice and provides a place to cool off in the summer. The playground could use a few more benches around it, as when we are done walking around my daughter likes to play and the bench is usually taken. It doesn't take long to go around the zoo and things haven't changed much in the last 10 years but its nice to visit anyway.
Perfect size zoo! Only took an hour or two to lea surly stroll around the grounds. Monday you get in free. Plenty of different animals but not an overwhelming zoo that takes all day to see. Easy to get to and free parking. Small play area inside for small kids to take a break. Plenty of shade and benches to sit and relax on.
This was a small zoo. It did not take very much time to go through this zoo. They had the usually animals such as lions, tigers, monkeys. They had a wonderful building that housed snakes and reptiles. The only bad thing was they had some buffalo, but were on the other side of the land for them. It was very hard to see them.
