This place was great. We did the self-guided tour and ran across John who was the head "cellar rat". He patiently explained to us how he was trimming the vines. You could tell he love his job. There is cost for the tastings but you could pick any of the wines and it was worth it. I was definitely skeptical as I like California wines but I found a nice white that I bought for $14. My sis and also stayed for lunch at the bistro and the fish just melted in your mouth. The fries were soggy though, so would get the side salad next time. Check it out! The also have music on some evenings and a great patio to relax on.
The winery is small but lovely...well worth visiting. Unfortunately the tasting area needs to be expanded as it was packed with folks minutes after they opened and we could not get anywhere near the counter......Too bad, we traveled all the way for the tasting....
I've been eager to visit LaBelle since it opened a couple of years ago. I finally did so tonight, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. While the building and grounds are nice, the service was awful. I met up with two friends, and we sat at the bar for a wine tasting, followed by dinner. From the moment we sat down, our bartender/server (Kristin) was unfriendly. It took forever to get through the tasting because she kept disappearing and sometimes outright ignoring us when we tried to get her attention. She shared very little information about the wines we were trying, and we all got the impression that she really just didn't want to deal with us (which is not how you want to feel when you are a paying customer). After our tasting, we asked about getting a table for dinner and we were told we would have to wait an hour, even though there were empty tables inside (which remained empty while we ate at the bar). Our meals were not served together/at the same time, and the food was mediocre. Overall, not a great experience. I don't foresee myself returning here anytime soon (or, probably, ever).
Lovely location, just stopped in for lunch ,reasonable prices for an appealing menu...limited seating inside if it's a busy day/nice outside seating if it hadn't been raining..well informed wait staff..small retail nook with wine and related products...live in the area so I'd return to tour grounds on a sunny day
We went to this winery to sample the wines as well as visit the venue for a potential wedding venue. We were welcomed by a large and beautiful outdoor fire pit where you can sit and sip a glass of their delicious wine. Once inside the winery has a welcoming atmosphere with a large wine tasting bar and lots of tables. There is also a large selection of great wine related items to purchase. The wedding venue is beautiful! It was decorated for the holiday and makes you want to have a winter wedding! We didn't have time to eat there but will plan to do so on our next visit.
We had a nice winery tour and wine tasting. I would be very reluctant eat there if in the tasting/store room. To many people walking around looking down at the people eating. Absolutely no eating privacy. There a few other rooms to eat but I would be very upset if I had to seated in the main store room for lunch. Other then that very nice. Apple wine was very good.
Fantastic New England winery. Took my mother-in-law for a weekend wine tour (which was free) and flight tasting and we had a great time! To make it even better, the owners were there to share their time and story of how the winery came to be. They love to mingle with the guests and share their passion for wine and how to support local businesses and farmers. To top it off, they have a brilliant selection of wine.
Wow, just a lovely evening last night. Went with my BFF, sat on the terrace, caught one of the Restaurant week deals which was unexpected but amazing. Sat in the sun, sipped amazing wine, ate great food with lovely service by Renee. It was just a lovely evening from beginning to end. Thanks to La Belle for making a Wednedsay evening an unexpected delight!!!
We made numerous visits to the Bistro at LaBelle Winery. First time savored a wine tasting with flights of three; enjoyed a Great lunch with family; wonderful visit and meal with out of towners; self guided tour; great wine selection and "store" in the Winemaker's Kitchen. Everything on the menu is excellent.
My group rented the small private room where we held our Christmas Luncheon. The room was beautifully decorated with four tables of six. The service by Adam and Victoria was impeccable. The food was fantastic. French onion soup followed by either Vegetable ravioli or Braised chicken. Both received rave reviews. Dessert was a chocolate pot de creme. Perfect!!!
