The traffic is so bad that the should have shuttle to and from the concert. There is only one way in and one way out. I took over two hours to get out of the area
This is a beautiful place where a working winery once operated. The grounds are maintained with care and are beautiful. Although events are held here regularly, it is just as enjoyable to come and see the grounds and lake and enjoy quiet in one of the busiest metropolitan areas on earth. There are some very good walking and hiking trails among some lovely old Cottonwood trees. It is not the easiest place to find - like any oasis - but it one of the most scenic!
I read the reviews before I went. And they were dead on... Definitely not worth paying to enter. The water was dirty. The grounds were not reflecting the care that an entry fee would seem to provide for... Don't bother. The neighborhoods surrounding the park is a more scenic, clean place to take a walk
I remember taking my kids there, to feed the many ducks in that park, and enjoy a little light fishing. this park offers even water slides in the hot summer for the kids, and a cool place to sit for the adults.
While this park is equipped for handling big events, you should be aware before you go there. There is a large pond in the middle of the park, however you are not allowed to be in the pond or to take boats out. Any and all fishing has to be done on the shore. There is a water park located at the park, however it tends to get crowded and I literally watched a little boy that was drowning before a lady near by scooped him up out of the water to the surprise of his mother who was standing two feet away from her son with her back to him. Seeing that image of a small child gasping for air has soured me on the thought of going to this park on a regular basis. If there is another big event at this park I will likely attend, but outside of that, I would be hard pressed to enter the gates.
We went there for a dog show. The grounds were very nice and the bathrooms were very well stocked and clean! There were some random spots on the grass where there were ants. We told the rangers and they came quickly and sprayed to get rid of them. Very nice park!
I've lived in Ontario a few years and had never visited this park, so decided to take my dog one Saturday afternoon. After reading about the amenities of the park (two fishing ponds, walking trails, etc) I was very excited about my trip. I'm sad to say that I was disappointed the minuted I drove past it. First off, I bypassed the entrance to the park. This is a huge park and the entrance is easy to miss. Some signs to the park looked handmade or deteriorated, so needless to say the first impression was not good. The park itself could be better maintained. It does have an air of grittiness and unkemptness about it, which should not be the case, considering there's a steep $10 entrance fee (extra fee for dogs). Overall, I was highly disappointed with my visit. This park is not being maintained to it's full potential. Hope it changes soon, because it has the potential of being a great attraction for the city.
We had a great time and the wines were great additions to the enjoyment. We go out here several times a year to get wines for the house. The park is a miracle and great place for the kids to wander and the adults to take it easy!
Really wish they would put some effort in cleaning the water not only is the water dirty but alot of junk like branches and other things are laying under the water makes it hard to use jigse
very average = boring. I guess it was OK although it was so average it is already fading from my memory
