It is a beautyful church with so much history in itthe most intersting thing is the organ ..135 registers and 10.400 pipes..from1745.This place is worth a visit..
St Moritz exterior isn't as imposing as other churches, but venture inside for a real treat. Don't miss climbing the bell tower. It's a steep, winding climb but the views from the top are worth the effort.
Skal man først se en eller flere av alle de flotte kirkene i byen .Så er denne et godt alternativI forhold til Norge er dette overveldened

St Moritz church in Olomouc is one of the city's most notable landmarks.Built on the site of an earlier church that was destroyed by lightning in 1398, the church of St Moritz took a century and a half to complete and is one of the best examples of Early Gothic architecture in the Czech lands. Highlights are the stained glass windows, the main Gothic altar, and the Mount of Olives sculptures that once adorned an external crypt but were moved inside for preservation.St Moritz also boasts one of the world's largest pipe organs. In addition to regular services, the Engler organ is used for recordings of classical music and the International Festival of Organ Music, which begins annually in late September. The taller of the asymmetric pair of bell towers survived from the older church. The viewing platform on its roof is accessible to the public via an elegantly intertwining pair of spiral staircases as far as the level of the bells and a more modern steel construction from there. It's quite a climb but the 360 degree views are the best in Olomouc and entry to the tower is a symbolic 15CZK.
Be sure to climb the bell tower for a lovely view over Olomoucs. Nice way to spend an hour. Recommend it!
The interior of this church is well worth a visit, but while you are there be sure to go back outside and climb the tower to the top of the righthand church tower. It costs about $0.75, and you go up and down a unique dual spiral staircase. The views from the top let you see absolutely everything in the old part of town.
Magnificent old church with a famous organ. The organ pipes are decorated with images of angels. Docent spoke English and was helpful.
