beautiful building.. very good collection to view.. and you can touch a shark also! the building for me was the highlight.. and the lovely terrace
When I went to the museum, with my sister, we found it quite small and not that interesting. We are both teenagers, so I would not recommend this for young people either. The top floor was closed, which apparently had all the interesting attractions, and i believe that it isn't open during the whole winter season. Overall was quite disappointed as it is one of the few attractions in Monaco
We had a couple of free tickets, which always helps! so went along, it is only small, in regards to the basement where you can see the sharks etc under water, but has a large museum above, perfect for children if the weather is bad.
Its worth the trip even and a detour. You need at least a couple of hours to stroll through his highly interesting museum about marine life. The aquariums are breathtaking and the whole building is a reminder of how museums and cultural institutions should look like.
Loved that this was beautifully built on the sea wall. Very interesting museum and aquarium. Kids loved it.
Highly recommended, as others say it's well laid out and full of well lit displays. Best part was the ability to touch the sharks in a tank at the end of the visit, the experience of seeing a shark roll over to be stroked is fantastic.
we spent a long time visiting this aquarium and museum. There is plenty to see. Go up to the café and you will find a fantastic terrace with the most wonderful views of Monte carlo
The museum is surprising in its proportions and completeness. It was very interesting, and our children were mesmerized by the specimens on display. I loved all the little nooks and crannies, and this little glass covered hole in the floor that shows you two floors down the rocks beneath. The best part of course, was the fact that they allow people pet the Sharks ( yes I said sharks). Or at least it's the best part for innocent, trusting children!
This is a very nice aquarium with great stuff to see. The roof top play area is great for smaller children. There is a nice variety of fish and it is set up nicely. The only complaint is that it was VERY crowded and we could hardly walk around. It was way too warm in there and there are very few places to sit.
went here to fill a wet afternoon and was not disappointed. A fabulous building that is well laid out and easy to negotiate. There is plenty of information available and the displays are excellent, you can even touch the Sharks in one of the tanks. Superb views from the roof terrace.
