I always have a great time at Pete's. The musicians are great and it is a fun atmosphere. The best night to go is Thursdays when 6th has a good number of people out, but there is no cover. Great place to end a night on 6th and easy to walk up just a few blocks to grab a cab/uber home.
Went to Birthday Party. Our first time. Wonderful atmosphere, great fun, good drinks and hotels all around! No driving!
Most piano bars that I have been to are soporific. I was discouraged from attending piano bars for quite some time until I visited Pete’s Piano bar. My friends and I agreed that this is quite a biblical beast-like experience. The bar has many talented musicians who will keep you entertained for hours. This is the place I will definitely visit again despite the arduous trip from Oklahoma.
As soon as we walked in the door the lads behind the pianos made us feel very welcome. They can pretty much play anything you ask them (with the help of the internet). The entire night was so much fun, drinking and singing along to classic tunes. Don't let the singing turn you off it is very inclusive!
This is the second time I have been here and I have had a great time both times! The guys keep you entertained! You can dance, sing request a song anything you like! Anything goes! It's a lot of fun.
There was a line outside, so it was obviously popular. Standing room only inside, revelers were shoulder to shoulder, it was packed, loud and very upbeat. The players were taking song requests, engaging the crowd and showing us all a great time. True show persons; the environment was electric... non stop. Drinks were a little pricy, so I'd recommend a primer before you go. $12 cover and 3 drinks destroyed $20 every round. This was my first time at 6th street after the creatures were out, it was a good time. While it was a mass of humanity, the crowd was well behaved, yet in all out party mode. There was a large police presence, they let the crowd do their thing and were quite pleasant. So, on to the food trucks and a ride home using Uber. Fantastic experience, I highly recommend Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. Yes, you should go... really.
Visited with a group of friends on a Sunday night. Was quiet when we got there (before 9pm) but soon filled up! Talented musicians who played the crowd really well. If you like a good atmosphere, great music, comedy and participation this is the place for you!
Best margaritas on the street, and..... fun, funny music. Great place to hang with friends and enjoy Austin, Texas.
We'd heard about this place prior to our visit - and it was as great as we expected! such an amazing atmosphere and fun way to spend a night with friends! plan ahead though because this place is hoppin' and there's a fair cover to get in ($10-$20 if I remember correctly). But more than worth it!
