Anytime of year, my family enjoys spending time in the Biltmore Gardens. The trails are safe and there are a variety of trails to choose from. Even during the winter months, the staff does a great job making the gardens feel inviting. In the spring and fall, there are so many beautiful sights to see! If you are visiting Asheville, set aside a day for the Biltmore Estate and Gardens.
This is part of the tour price for the house and well worth stopping in to see. It's amazing how much is done completely onsite.
Even in the winter the details are great, can't wait to go back to see in the spring. All the different gardens were available to view even with the snow!
Like Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, this is one of the most beautiful gardens you may ever get to tour. It is large & varied; different types of flowers bloom @ different times of the year. It is fairly flat if you have someone in a wheelchair with you. Bring your camera if you like photographing beautiful flowers!
Lovely grounds and conservatory, beautifully planned and well maintained. It's relaxing to leisurely stroll through the gardens and by the ponds dotted with lily pads and statues, all enhancing the beauty and tranquility of the area. It was nice to browse through the interior, stopping to enjoy light refreshments along the way. They have some very unique flowers and plants so be sure to bring your camera...
We were here in January, while there was snow on the ground, things were most decidedly dormant. Not surprising for this time of year. In spite of this, there was lots to see on the grounds. I can only imagine what it will be like in spring or summer.
I know, most guys are going to silently stamp their feet when their other half says, "Let's go see the flowers!" Guys, go see the flowers, trees and other plants; it is pretty cool. I would have been disappointed had I left and not visited the Arboretum.
Love these gardens, so peaceful. Loved walking them. The trees are all marked and some of the plants, so we learned a lot too.
We loved the grounds and the variety of plants and arbors. The shop had so many unusual items for our garden. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
The gardens are beautiful and massive. It takes forever to walk but you actually enjoy almost every minute of it. The gardens, pond, and greenhouse were my favorite part of the trip (even when it started raining and snowing)
