This is a must visit if you are in the mountains of Italy. I can't tell you how many times I have been there since I was young with the family. It's a great trip! Try going during winter and walk over the frozen lake!P. MartiniSydney, Australia
A fantastically beautiful area of the world, outstanding path ways to walk during spring, summer and fall, and ski in winter. Definitely a place to visit, family, romantic or alone.
Wow; thats all we kept saying about the views. Such a nice, peaceful place for a picnic. May is the perfect time to visit. No crowds, sunny and warm, and still snow in the mountains. Please, make the time to visit here. Absolutely gorgeous. I was worried about the driving conditions, but it was no problem at all. Just keep your wits about you as it is so easy to keep looking around at the views. Actually had a lot of fun driving the switchbacks! Can't wait to come back.
Each and every time we visit Italy, Lago di Misurina is a must place to visit with it being so close to the tre Cime
We stopped there for lunch and after that we went wlaking all around the lake (suitable also for small children), very relaxing. The view of 3 cime Lavaredo and Marmarole on the other side was very nice.
Prior to visiting Northern Italy, I had no idea what to expect. When my friends & I arrived, after a long car ride from Bavaria, our eyes could not believe the visual paradise we had entered. To say that it was "magnificent" would be putting it lightly. As an avid photographer, I was particularly enamoured with the incredible views in every direction. If you get a chance, take the chairlift up to the mid-point in the mountain and then go hiking from there.A truly extraordinary place!
A wonderful place to sit for a while and think about nothing. It is stunning. We went in May so most of the snow had gone and the ice on the lake had melted but you could imagine what it looks like in the mid of winter.
Near Cortina and a beautiful spot with shops for those who have to spend! and very good restaurant (Malga) Can also get a chair lift
Great scenery and so central to all the action around the Dolomiti!Pros: Great scenery with the Cardini Mountains and Tre Cime di Lavaredo so close, no shortage of photo opportunities from the little village on the western shore, food, trekking supplies and souvenirs available in the village. Cons: None, even on a dull day the place looks magic!!Only a twenty minute drive north of Cortina and not to be missed!!
Beatiful small lake. Don't expect much activity. Few hotels and shops. Nice place for a quite holiday and walk around the lake.
