Beautiful place and the wine is not bad. Worth a try if you are in the bench area. Unfortunately, their reserves are the ones that I remember and are a bit more pricey. The winery has a great view of the escarpment and lake.
We went to Fielding for the first time during the 2015 Ice Wine Festival. We enjoyed the food and wine paring offered at Fielding. Butternut squash soup topped with pumpkin seeds. Stop by Fielding and enjoy a tasting.
Great wine, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a warm cozy fireplace to relax by! I will be back!
After spending a day being "given samples of wine", we arrived at Fielding Estate Winery and a young girl (What could she possibly know about wine?) asked if I'd like to do a tasting. She turned my experience in the area around. She did a real tasting with me. She started by talking to me about the wine, asking me how I liked it, and not only what I liked about it but also what I didn't like. Then instead of just giving me a sample of the next wine on the list, she made suggestions based on our conversation. She found a couple of their wines that I really liked, but were not ones I might have chosen on my own. In other words she guided me on a real wine tasting. Most of the wineries in the region as set in beautiful locations with either lovely new buildings or elegant heritage building, and Fielding was no different from the many wineries you can visit. What was different was how I was treated. I felt I actually got real service here, and my experience here made the rest of the day positive because I looked for people who would do wine tastings instead of giving me samples of their product.
Fielding wines are lovely, staff is always helpful, there's a stunning view off their deck and they have branched off with some great merchandising which make great gifts along with the lovely wines.
Always welcomed with a smile, great views of the vineyard and excellent wine selections. Buy the Meritage, always sells quickly, top value. We return with every visit to the region.
We got stuck in traffic and arrived very late in the day when we visited Fielding. What it did mean though was that we were able to sit outside (not on the deck as that was still busy), at the front of the attraction in the late afternoon sunshine and enjoy the sampling (for a small charge). I am not particularly keen on wine but the staff were great and they made me two lucious glasses of the sweetest, chilled Sangria, whcih I thoroughly enjoyedOur party of 5 shared two platters of the mixed dips - which were heaven. It would be good to go back in the summer and take in the views and have a little more time there.
I went here last weekend with a some friends and had a great time trying their wines. They have a beautiful tasting room that overlooks their vineyards and a cozy fireplace where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The staff were nice enough to hand wrap some wine glasses we purchased in a spare box so we could carry them home on the bus. Really appreciated that.
As novice wine tasters, Heidi guided us through a few of Fielding's tastiest wines. She was patient with our questions and introduced me to one of my new favourite whites - the Fielding Fireside! I can't wait to go back. Thanks again!
Great Taste and View is spectacular!! They always have neat events going on here example this weekend there was a craft show on. And their wines are very unique to our this area. We recommend them all the time!! We send all of our visitors there when they come into our Welcome Centre!
