I've only rated this cathedral as average because it still seems to be getting built or is under refurbishment. The inside was very bare so not much to see but to look at from the outside was pretty cool. It's definitely worth going to see.
Grand cathedral in a beautiful area of Old Belgrade.I only regret not having bought a candlestick there as it's part of the experience to walk away with an elegant souvenir from this majestic place.
The reason for going to Belgrade was to be there when my son had his wedding in St Michael's Cathedral. Wonderful experience - so special to be able to be part of a ceremony in a different culture to the UK. Very ornate and spectacularly decorated walls inside. Well worth a visit.
If there is one orthodox church you must see when visiting Belgrade head towards Saborna crkva close to the main pedestrian zones Knez Mihajlova street and fort of Kalemegdan. You'll have the opportunity to sence the spiritual atmosphere and admire a beautiful decor as well as the garden.
i was there just for visiting and I saw a ceremony, good moment for my ears, and for peace. Inside it is gorgeous. I recommend to visit it with a peaceful heart.
This church is a wonderful example of a 'working' Orthodox church. The array of icons is amazing.I was there on a Sunday and there was a 'production line' of weddings.
The old and famous Orthodox church in downtown, across from the Patriarchate, close to the main pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova and Kalemegdan.
It feels strange writing a review about a church, but this one literally moved me to tears. I have rarely felt such an atmosphere in a religious building - the sense of spirit enveloped me as soon as I entered. In terms of decoration and ornamentation the church is nothing special compared to other Orthodox or even Catholic churches, which is perhaps why my attention was focused on the feeling. In very simple terms, this is a must see when in Belgrade.
This St. Michael's Cathedral is another Orthodox church in the city, located on the side of the park of the fortress and easily recognizable thanks to the special high bell tower that stands out among the many others. Beautiful especially at night when it is being illuminated. I visited it in, some pictures and a lot of curiosity to me to see an Orthodox church, inside it is well decorated and it was a positive experience and constructive, maybe it could be the best Orthodox church as inside decor in the whole city.
This is smaller than most Cathedrals but well worth the visits. Its is extensively decorated and ornate inside and can be visited on way to Belgrade Fortress. A beautiful church with links to the ? Restaurant across the road (another place worth visiting especially for dinner)
