We took a group of 9 year olds here for a party and couldn't have been more pleased. The course was just right, scary but not impossible, the staff good fun, very professional and safety conscious, and amazingly they remembered all our kids' names. When we forgot to collect the party bags they went out of their way to post them to us. Overall an excellent experience.
My seven year old grand-daughter chose to go here with her sister & two friends, instead of having a birthday party. Despite the wet weather they had great fun. The staff are all very professional, friendly & encouraging/ I was very imoressed & all the children asked to go again soon
Now on our 3rd GoApe adventure, and, again this one also did not disappoint. Great course, great zips, great location. We even managed to do the Tarzan 6 times as the group behind us was sooooo slow (thanks!)! If you have never done it, maybe are even a bit afraid of heights, go and do this to get confidence and help to reduce your fears!Love it, we will go again to a different GoApe this weekend!
Decided to pay a visit here as heard so many things about it did'nt book online just decided to go on off chance. It is'nt signposted that well so take a sat nav if not good with directions. Plenty of places to park set in the beautful countryside great on a sunny autumn Sunday afternoon. There are 2 courses one for little ones and one for adults and children over 10 but do have to be surpervised with an adult. My daughter who is 10 decided to go on the big one with her dad. The cost was £24 for her and £30 for my other half. You get given a brief and go through safety etc and get kitted up staff are fantastic at their job. They had been gone for at least 2 hours so well worth the money they loved it my daughter and other half have no fear of anything so they flew through it all but some people take along time to get through it all through being terrifed. This is a great day out there is hot food and drinks available, toilets, playarea etc after you have done the course you can go off walking around the forest or take your bike make a day of it. Oh and once you have finished the course you get a certificate.
Wow! Not sure how long this place as been going, however it needs to be advertised a little more! It is one magical place. You really need to be fit and active to enjoy this place, my Grandchildren loved it! It's quite expensive but well worth it. The staff - I agree with other reviewers, the staff went out of their way to help and I really appreciate that. Thanks for an amazing time! Go ape all the way!! I think 5-6+ teenagers love it the most even if their clothes and nails get muddy! :)
I took my daughter there last weekend as she had been wanted to go there for ages and this was the first free day I had.We booked this online, which in a way was beneficial as you can indicate your preferred starting time. I think that they have a maximum number for each time so if you just turn up when you feel like it you might not get your preferred starting time. When we arrived we had to sit around for a few minutes while the others in the group arrived. Once we were all there and had completed all the usual health and safety forms etc we were shown over to an area supervised by an instructor who showed you how to use the equipment, in particular the safety harnesses. It's very important that you follow a set pattern using the harnesses as this will dramatically reduce the risk of you becoming unsafe.Anyway after attending this section and getting into our harnesses we then went to another area to try them out by climbing a small set of ladders and walking along a wire to ensure we all knew exactly what we were doing and that we could use the equipment properly. The only snag with this was that it took well over and hour and we hadn't yet started walking through the trees. As for the harnesses, I not only had to wear one around my waist but for some unknown reason had to wear one around my chest too which I found restricted my movements somewhat. My daughter has diabetes and we have to carry equipment like needles and blood test kits etc around with us, so the staff were very helpful by supplying us with a pouchy for the equipment that I could attach to my harness. When we eventually got started it was great. For most of the walk you're about 40 - 50 feet above the ground and there are three zip wires, two of which are quite long. There was also a tunnel and some rings to walk along. There are also parts where you can take the easy way round if things become a little difficult which allows you to miss out certain sections. It's a combination of swinging, climbing, walking, jumping into nets and general mucking about and it's great for people of all ages. We both loved it and although the tree walk itself takes a little over two hours, with the training beforehand you need to add at least another 90 minutes to the overall time. The best parts are the zip wires and the jumping into the nets, as one of the jumps has a sharp descent before you rise again and crash into the ropes. After the adventure ends you walk back up the hill to the reception are and they will help you to remove your equipment and give you the obligatory certificates. There are also various memento's on sale including T shirts and hoodies.Overall summary - a great adventure and a good way of spending a morning or afternoon. If the weather is not great, at least the trees offer some relief from the weather. One word of caution though, you will need to go to the toilet before you go which is based at the cafe near to the reception desk; as there's nowhere on the walk itself. However, they do have water stations which is helpful when walking round.
A friend invited us to come here instead of going for a meal for her birthday. As a party of 8 we were impressed with the professional introduction/ health&safety / practical instruction we received. It took us a good hour to negotiate the whole course, and we all enjoyed it tremendously! We'll have to come back with the kids!
Visited with my two boys (5 and 9) and did the junior trail with them. They had been before and wanted to show Dad what they can do. Which they did, when I could keep up! This is great fun, well set up and very professional, really sorted out the safety so you feel completely secure! The 5 stars is given for the staff who were extremely helpful. Learned the children's nAmes and chatted to them as we went round multiple times (as it was not busy!) can not recommend this place enough!
An exciting - sometimes terrifying but a thrill when each challenge was achieved. A very rewarding afternoon run by the most amazing staff who were encouraging without being pushy! We did the Junior version with children ranging from 4 to 10. Important to check the adult to child ratios for the age of children so no one will be disappointed and to book beforehand as they only have a certain number of places in each timeslot! All the children (and some adults) needed support and help but loved the reward of the zipwire when they had completed the circuit. The certificates are now displayed with great pride and we hope to visit again soon.
Very professional staff at Go Ape & always on hand if u need help along the way. Course was actually harder than I thought it would be, but exciting and fun! You do need to be fit to do the course as half way through the course is challenging. We probably had the worse weather for it as it was pouring down with rain, but this didn't stop us having the best day!!!
