It's a small racetrack and we had a nice evening. It was family day and there was a lot activities for kids. I think we should have stayed in the main grandstand. However, we made the mistake of booking the buffet in the dining room. The entrance and buffet line are one and the same. When we arrived there was a line. The food was mostly cold. The advertised prime rib was cold roast beef and cold Yorkshire pudding. We would not recommend this at all.
This is an entertainment place to go. Horse racing, Friday nights they have car racing and when you feel like gambling take in the slots. Dining room serves good food.
slots, but no card tables, still it's clean and close to Peterborough and always busy. Watch out for the busloads of tourists and seniors. Food not much to speak about but staff is nice.
We stop in once in a white to have a cold beer and place a bet or two on the horses. We know nothing about horse racing but we enjoy looking at the horses and betting on them based on their names or the colour of their harnesses ha ha!! You can place a $2 bet and then cheer your horse on. It's lots of fun and we usually break even by the end of the evening and had a few laughs. You can place larger bets if you wish. They also have a dinning room for dinner and canteen's for snacks. The Slots are located at the same facility so if you like to gamble you can do so there. The food in the casino is good and not expensive. I would recommend it if you are looking for a few hours of entertainment.
Went early in the morning on a Thursday and stayed about 6 hours. I walked around, checked out the slot machines and had a great time - also won money, which I took home with me. Friendly staff, clean washrooms, good food and nice, calm people. A little far from Trenton if you don't drive, but not too bad. More slot machines would be even better. I will go back again very soon.
Dinner was buffet. Not bad but nothing fancy. The set up of seating doesn't really allow a large group to mix and mingle very well. Races were fun to watch but if you aren't into horse racing you won't stay long. Dinner then 10 minutes and $40 later on slots and call it a night.
nice place to spend an evening.. people I met in there were from all over.. as it it just off the 401...
I gave 2 of my sons & their father a Gift Certificate for Christmas to try out Nascar racing and it was a fabulous experience. The guys enjoyed racing around the Nascar track in their own Race Car.
I used to enjoy when they ran the ponies. Slots are the same everywhere. Nothing spectacular. It's not that I disliked anything, it's just that I'm not much of a gambler. When the ponies ran, I really enjoyed that.
Haven't been for awhile but will be back for sure. Ten race card on a beautiful evening with free admission. They had an area for kids to go for a slide, question and answer session with two drivers before the races and chance to ride with a driver between races. Harness racing was top notch and hope they don't get de-railed by the government and OLG.
