There is long drives between tall pine trees, large open areas with hills, large ponds, par 63 and friendly staff. Not too crowded this time of year and grass is kept well as should be! Peter is one of the pros. Will not be disappointed. Hotsand-7.
This is set in a very pretty location with wonderful open spaces and mountain views. Clean, and well presented. Would go back.
I have played this course numerous times over the years. It is old school and I find it a tad boring. Having said that it is highly playable, always well maintained and the clubhouse has decent food at reasonable prices.
Used to be a great track but they have changed the layout for some unknown reason. Start is on the old hole 6 and you criss cross the parking lot too many time. When finished you have to go back to near the green off the new hole 4 to clean your cleats - dumb! Only good news is the new tee deck on new hole 13, it makes it a cool hole. The course maintenance has gone downhill, lots of soft areas, poor tee decks and rocks in the bunkers. Driving range was pathetic, set up teeing area in the mud splattered with sand when they have a covered range???New food service area points into the sun and the servers are baked out and pastries, muffins are warm (not in a good way).Walking into the dining area and the members look at you like you're an alien!
I have been golfing this course for 20 years. There have been many changes over the years in course upgrades and staff. Some of the course changes have been for the better and some minor issues not so much. It is a fair test of your golfing skills and a new golfer can also play this course. There at lot of tree lined fairways so as to provide great shade during warm days and keeps the wind at bay on most holes.
The turkey dinner was fabulous (once I exchanged my turkey with a fresh new cut)! The service was excellent and the BBQ was amazing. The course conditions were not that great for a semi-private club. Golfers need to replace their divots with 'sand' supplied by the course. Recommend the golf club consider replacing their flags with the new 'laser link' flags so golfers can use their lasers to determine distances. There's no yardage markers other than three posts on each hole and it was a challenge to know where the flags were positioned on the greens. I would recommend trying this course for fun!!!
I was so impressed tonight with this group. The food was delicious for a fundraiser. The best I have had to date. The staff were also great. I will be back to golf and eat. I will also share my experience with all my family, friends, co workers and customers. THANKYOU for the evening and providing Chilliwack Search and Rescue a venue to share their stories and for a dear friend of mine to host this great evening! Your generosity is so greatly appreciated. Cheers!!!
