In the 70s, the PSU campus had the feel of an artificial place; the university did not grow up around any town; it was the town. In the intervening decades the place has grown and fits in as a Big Ten university town on the order of Champaign-Urbana or Iowa City, but not quite as complex or intriguing as Ann Arbor, Bloomington or Lincoln. The campus is pristine and very well laid-out, and the scenery all around is gorgeous in any season.
everything wonderful about this place & secure enough about my opinion to be comfortable with my 2 daughters attending school here for 4 years
Very nice campus, getting very built up, seems like they put up a new building or 2 per year. Parking is limited, be prepared to hike the campus. Many attractions are available to pass the day, the students are usually very friendly. Gotta try the Creamery Ice Cream, a PSU tradition!
Went to visit our daughter. Visited a couple spots we have never been in over the years. If you like sports and have never been to the All Sports Museum at the stadium, check it out. We also look for other things to do in the general area when we go so we stopped at the Centre County Visitor's Center for the first time too. Very helpful.
What can I say... This will be my 3rd child starting Penn State in the Fall of 2015... of course I think it is a great school....!!!
Home of the PSU nittany lions..football, basketball, and many other sports. Huge stadium and Brcye Jordan Center for concerts. Huge arts festival in July. Many faceted school with lots of activities year round.
Great to visit the campus but there is only garage parking so the streets are kept clear. Make sure to visit Berkey Creamery for some heavenly ice cream.
Penn State is beautiful campus adjacent to the town of State College. Things to do include concerts and sporting events in mutliple venues. The Arboretum is a beauriful place to visit. I have attended many events here and have enjoyed all of them. There are usually fees for parking as well as the admission fee to events.
Penn State University is a large, diversified school located in a small town atmosphere. There are ample restaurants, bars, and gift shop (many PSU item related) from which to choose. The campus is beautiful, and is a pleasure to explore (particularly in fall and spring). Many on campus events bring culture and sports in all its forms to this world class institution of higher learning. Explore - and enjoy the home of the Nittany Lion.
Penn State. First class university, beautiful campus. As an alumnus and parent of two PSU graduates, spent a lot to time throughout this campus.
