I bought a box of dark chocolate almond bark from a boy doing a fund raiser. 10.00 for a 6 oz box was not the problem. Tasted like burnt chocolate. It was discusting. Would never buy again or recommend. Wasted box chocolate thrown out. Sad
I went on a tour and really enjoyed learning the history behind Saunders. I grew up with Saunders chocolate. The tour took you through the chocolate making and packaging of each delicious piece. The tour took about 30 minutes. I felt like a kid in a candy store with my tounge stuck to the window as I watched with amazement. At the end of the tour they take you to the candy store where where you can make purchases as well as sit for a few and enjoy some of the delicious ice cream. Of course I probably made the biggest purchase of the day and bought enough chocolate to bring back to my friends in Frankfurt Germany. Bring your camera and bring your appetite for ice cream and chocolate. Also try any of the sea salt chocolate you won't be disappointed. Yum Yum Yummy!!!
Morley Candy Makers produces the famous Sanders Detroit Chocolate Brand in a variety of flavors. You have to make reservations to go on the tour. The visit consist of a short movie about the history of Morley and how chocolate is produced and a short visit of the line. The tour ends in the Candy Shop.
The Cream hot puff is to die for. It is just a awesome dessert and so filling but you'll bust your shorts before you'll share it with anyone. The candy is great. I'm sending some to England to relatives this year. Have to share the love. lol
We stopped at Morley Candy and enjoyed watching as the young lady was making chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats. We also were able to try their salted dark chocolate caramels. They were very tasty. They also carry Saunders sauces and bump cakes. We did come a way with lots of treats
Went to get makings for hot fudge cream puffs for New Years! The had great hours over the holiday and was able to get what I needed for our dessert! Yum yum!
Morley makes their candy right here in Clinton Township and they also make the great Sanders recipes that my grandmother used to rave about. Cakes, chocolate, ice cream-yum!
We had a great tour of the facilities. We were taken upstairs and showed a video of the history and background of Morley. Then we were taken downstairs and toured the candy making area. Next, was shopping in the store for any candy item you can imagine.
Morley has now taken over Sanders so there is double the chocolate goodness plus the wonderful Sanders ice cream and those products.Products are always displayed very nicely and neatly.Nice to be able to peak in the window to see if there is anything going on in the factory.
You must, must, must try the Hot Fudge Topping and the Sea Salt Caramels, and Ice Cream. Pretzel Balls are also amazing. I could go on and on, but these are a few of my faves!!!
