We were in the Miami area for a few days and saw that the Sony Tennis Open was going on. We're not huge tennis enthousiasts, but watch a game on tv every now and then. But we decided to grab a cab and get to Crandon Park and it was probably one of the best decisions we made during our stay in Floriday. At $51 per person, we got to see Djokovic, Sharapova and Federer win a window of a few hours. The atmosphere was great, with a lot of shops and food tents to fill in-between game voids. But don't forget to bring along your sunscreen, or you'll end up like half a lobster :-)A simple must-do if you're in the area in March.
We visited Key Biscayne during the Orange Bowl and, as tennis fans, wanted to take a peek at Crandon Park while we were there. Very nice facility that seems well-kept, though the stadium looks a tad dated in some areas. Would love to come back during the tournament!
Thanks for visiting the Crandon Park Tennis Center and for playing our courts. We're proud to offer a world class tennis facility to the visitors and residents of Miami-Dade County. Thanks again for your kind words.

Wish you a nice trip and tournament.
Second time in a row I have been to this tournament. The best tennis players attended this year.It is very well organized, with a good variety of stores and restaurants. But there is something that bothered me a lot and must change for the next years. Parking is far from the Tennis Center (around 15 minutes), so we depend on a free bus to get there. This is OK and I do understand. The problem is that during rush hour the lines to get back to the parking lot were huge! I've been to the final match, which lasted 1h30... and it took me almost 2 hours to get back to my car!!
It's the best tournament for viewing and eating and location is beyond Heaven! It can't get any better. Even the jumbo tron viewing in the picnic area beats all the rest.
This is a treasure for all tennis players. Beautifully maintained grounds and courts and very friendly staff.
The place sizzles with life , sport, and personalities during the famous Tennis Tournament every year in March/April for 2 weeksVisit then!
Thank you for over a decade of support! We're so very happy to have loyal visitors like yourself.
