This was our first stay since the resort changed ownership and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds and building are lovely. We loved the swimming pool and Packers Oyster Bar. And they have pet-friendly rooms! We'll definitely return.
This was the third year my husband and I have celebrated our Anniversary at Semiahmoo. The first year was right before it closed, last year they had just recently reopened and this time they had the kinks worked out. Great place to go and relax and get pampered. Rooms are really nice, comfortable, clean. WiFi sucks; couldn't get it in the room. Service is great. Front desk people are great! I'm glad to see this place thriving. Spa and restaurants are great! They had live music both nights; Fri and Sat. We will be back!
Semiahmoo is our new favorite – it was absolutely AMAZING and we’re looking forward to going back!! The resort is beautiful, views gorgeous and the customer service is outstanding -- just unmatched! Favorite part had to be the luxurious bed. But, the service & food at Pierside and Packers were awesome as well. DJ at Pierside kept the restaurant open longer so our large group could visit for a while. Special kudos to the bartender for serving up the best Mahattans we’ve ever had. Semiahmoo is exceptional in every way!
We have stayed there twice to celebrate our fathers 96 and 97 birthdays. Although he is an invalid confined to a wheelchair, he enjoys the beautiful ambience, sound and smell of the sea and the delightful dining experiences. On both visits, the service was excellent and the staff did everything to accommodate my father's palette no matter the time of day or with whether the items were on even on the menu. All of us loved the comfort of the beds and spaciousness of our rooms.
I took a kayak trip to see the seals up close and there were hundred of them lounging on a pier. I got great photos from out on the kayak and my Grandson took a paddle board. The prices were reasonable and the guy running the place was very nice and helpful. We will go again because of the fun!!
This is a pretty tough golf course that allows you to use all the clubs in your bag! The back nine is very scenic. After the round there's Great Food to be had at the Blue Heron restaurant
I played Palmer's Whistler course a few weeks ago, and truthfully, I liked this layout better. Yes, the scenery wasn't as spectacular, but I just really liked this course. There were lots of sand traps, and the sand was very playable. I also enjoyed the houses along the course, most of which were first class. I'm a 21 handicap and didn't feel intimidated. Also, the course was in great shape.I ordered a gluten free hamburger after 9, and it was excellent.
It is a warm atmosphere and the service is wonderfully friendly and efficient. I had the Reuben sandwich which was very very good. The clam chowder was tasty and the chili was very good. Coffee is well brewed and satisfying. The dessert (an Irish Apple Crisp) was delicous! My advice to the managers is simple! PLEASE keep this restaurant as it is and don't change!
Two fantastic golf courses. Completely different golf experience at Semiahmoo and Loomis Trials. Top notch staff
I just came back from a few days away here. Its been years since my last visit and under new ownership things are really looking up for this wonderfully located property. The Waterview room was perfect, bed really comfy. Both restaurants were decorated fabulous. Food was yummy. Spa massage was divine. They still have updates needed on the grounds and in the locker rooms which once complete will make this place a hidden gem! I will be back, this property is a wonderful value.
