I went to "Hell's Hollow Adventure Outpost" on October 31, 2014. Two other friends and I scheduled a morning ride, and despite the damp, chilly weather, our guide, Tanya, was just the best. She was very attentive to our comfort and enjoyment during the entire two hour ride, and the horses she put us on matched our skill level perfectly. I rode "Dallas", and she was a great mount. The trails and the scenery were first rate, especially for a flat-land guy like me! The owners were very cordial and thanked us profusely for visiting, making us feel right at home. I would recommend that anyone, whether you're a first-time or experienced rider, go to Hell's Hollow and experience real riding and the REAL Georgia with the fine folks who operate this business. I can't wait to make it back up there. Thanks Tanya!
Had a great time with the whole family. The service was wonderful and they even went over the top to make my youngest feel comfortable. Will definitely go back next time we are in town. Thanks Tanja for a great experience.
We were pleasantly greeted by the staff. They had a wonderful facility. The horses were amazing. The trail was just okay though. We took the 1 hr ride. It seemed like 35 minutes up and down a mountain with tree roots sticking up and a goat path cut out. Didn't exactly feel safe on it. I would definitely go back for a 2 hour or half a day to see if the trails were any better though.
The staff that worked there were absolutely great. After getting lost & arriving 1 hour late. The lady that worked there spoke w/me no less than 5 times trying to get me there. So helpful & accommodating. My daughter wanted to go horseback riding for her 9th B-Day. She also asked her 2 BF's ages 8 & 9. This was such an important event for her they did everything they could to make it special. We will definitely go back again!!
My husband and I started out day at Hell's Hollow with the Zipline adventure. Shaggy and Jason were great at explaining things and telling bad jokes. They were entertaining to say the least. After the Zipline, we had an hour to kill until time to horseback ride. Todd was gracious to tell us about a good restaurant nearby. However, Hell's Hollow is a relaxing place so, we hung around with our books and chilled.Their horses are beautiful and healthy. Tonya was a great teacher and leader and took us along a very natural trail through the nearby woods. Physically I knew after an hour I needed to stop riding but otherwise, I could have ridden all day. It was just a great experience!
This was an awesome experience. Tanja is a very sweet woman who is awesome with the horses and a very friendly and funny guide. The trails we went on were beautiful. We went through the forest for a bit, up and down hill. Then we did some trotting and galloping along a stream and up a gravel road, it was a lot of fun! The autumn colors were glorious, the sun shined through the trees, it was just perfect. I would highly recommend this place if you wanna be sure to get a nice horse and a wonderful ride through the Blue Ridge mountains! I had the Saddle and Sooth package for 100 bucks which was totally worth it. I got my massage right after the horse back riding in Blue Ridge downtown and was happy and relaxed when I was done with that wonderful day!
Had the most wonderful time with the AMAZING women at Hells Hollow. They were knowledgeable and skilled and the horses were magnificent. I went with 9 of my closest friends and we all had a blast. My horse was Texas and as a bigger guy I was nervous about being on a horse but Texas was the perfect stallion for this stallion lol. Great times!! And my legs were sore for two days...I see why cowboys walk that way now.
We chose a two hour trail ride. I've ridden, owned and shown horses for over 45 years, and I know horse people and these are horse folks! In a search to accommodate four riding levels I called several other stables in the Blue Ridge area and none even compared in just the conservation to make a reservation. Tanja met and exceeded our expectations and needs. Our reservation needed to be changed due to illness and she easily accommodated the change. When we arrived the atmosphere was as if we'd been friends for years, easing any concerns she quickly prepared us to safely ride, placing each of us on the appropriate level skill horse each of us needed. She guided us through some of the most beautiful mountainous area we had seen. While our skill level allowed for a strenuous ride this facility can easily accommodate all levels from novice up. We look forward to our next trip to Blue Ridge and will always include a day of riding with Blue Ridge Stables and Outpost in Hell's Hollow. We highly recommend you do the same!
My husband and I had a nice two hour ride at Hells Hollow. The staff is very friendly, the horses are well cared for, and the property is very scenic. We will return.
Originally we were scheduled to go on Feb.27th but due to the ice and rain our trip was rescheduled. Today our trip was amazing. The weather was perfect and even though there was a lot of mud from rain earlier in the week, it was still a nice ride. I highly suggest wearing shoes you plan to get very muddy. Hope to go again to have a chance to get some speed ;)
