The metal arch bridge that connects Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia it's a place you must go while visiting the city, it's a perfect place for strolling with friends and family. On the other side of the bridge you will find the country's best cellars of Port Wine.
Even though I went with the worst weather possible (Rain, Cloud, Fog, Etc) I was able to enjoy the views from the bridge to the zona riberinha. Just walking through it is breathtaking, and when seen from a distance as well. It is really accesible, free and one of the most enjoyable sights in Porto.
Walk over the top level where the metro runs. The bridge is beautiful and the views are spectacular.
You will definitely see it : stroll along Ribeira , hop off at Jardim do Morro, etc. It is part of the beautiful panorama scene of Porto that you can't miss out.
无论是走在桥上还是搭车经过,从桥上看两岸的风景,都是不错的选择,可以选择搭车过去,在走户回来。不过桥上风很大,当心随身物品掉落。
absolutely stunning architecture. beautiful surroundingsjust mesmerising. leading from villa de gaia into porto. get the train across or get a cable car to the top
The fact that the upper part of the bridge only services the metro line means that it's very often empty and you're able to walk to either side as you please for great views of the city and the river.
Try both levels for different perspectives of both sides of the river. If you can spend enough time to see this both during the day and evening, you will not be disappointed. The city's colours during the day are fantastic, and in the evening everything is beautifully lit. Great for evening photography!
Lots of bars riverside and lots of side streets to walk around. Great views at night on top of the bridge and road level
This bridge is difficult to miss if you are walking along the River Douro as it is quite imposing and nestled right in with a lot of the nice restaurants. Possibly not something that everything would find interesting however it is really nice to have a walk over the bridge and get a panoramic shot of Porto.
