After seeing some of the past reviews, I was a little worried about what I might be walking into, but I must say I was pleasantly surpised! We actually went on a very busy day, with lots of camps too and we had absolutely no problems. Even when we walked up to pay they let you know that there were going to be a lot of camps that day, and I thought that was great of them to be honest about it before we paid. We decided it wasn't a big problem, and stayed. There were enough lounge chairs for all, even with the amount of people. The bathrooms were fine in my opinion, I don't expect much at waterparks and the beach as far as bathroom facilities and to me they were fine. The Lazy River was so much fine, even though it was very crowded. The food was so so, and you can't bring any food or coolers into the waterpark. I wish the food was a little better but it was fine and we were able to eat it. My girls especially loved the Mini Melts and ICEES that the park also sells. Another problem was that the park does not sell sunscreen. I brought my own but didn't realize I was running out of it, thankfully I had some in my car. I also was a little disappointed that they don't take American Express, but again a very, very small thing that was not a big deal. I was very impressed with the amount of lifeguards and how well they watched the water. I also love that they have different pricing for each age level, unlike many places. It made our trip very affordable. All and All we had a wonderful time and my girls can't wait to go back! Everyone had a big smile on their faces, even the adults. Thank You Coconut Cove, for a wonderful time!
Went to this water park with an 11 yr old, 5 yr old and a 4 yr old. Great park for little ones. They had a blast! Lots for them to do. Also bought lunch on site, not bad and reasonably priced.
We've been to quite a few local waterparks in the area and this is our favorite since our kids are young. Its always very clean and I feel very safe with the lifeguards. We've been here probably 20x and each time, the lifeguards are alert, always scanning the areas, we see them running drills on cpr, they run a tight ship here and I like it. The food is decent for a waterpark, even better than what we've experienced at Disney parks and the prices are much less. The sitting area to eat is ok but always seems to have issues with birds trying to steal your food. My kids love it here and so do I.
This could have been so cool! The pictures looked awesome. Some of the negative reviews said things that the park has no control over. That being said, have you ever been to a water park and smelled the urine and NOT the chlorine?!Maintenance must have been on vacation. Garbage was everywhere, duct tape had been used to fix some items of the water play area (yes read that again), there were some sort of rocks all over the bottom of the pool play area. And most importantly...How does mold grow on those pool dividers if you use chlorine? Yummy. There was too much to even put in a review. We left after 15 minutes. Of course, people would need a shower after this experience but the one didn't work and there was no soap in the bathroom. My kid calls it the "potty pool." Again, if management took care of some things it could be a cool place.
You get what you pay for! This place is pretty cool to take the kids. My boyfriend and I just go to float around ! After you leave here theres a cool little nature santuary around the corner thats FREE to go to! You walk the boardwalk and sometimes if your lucky you can see a gator! Make a day out of it !
My husband and I took our son right when the park first opened on a Saturday. We had no problem with finding a shady seat. My 15 month old loved it. There were plenty of shallow areas for him to splash in, a small slide that fit him just right, and small stairs with water overflow. It was a nice morning!Included in the baby/toddler price is a swim diaper. I saw many parents saying they already had one. Take the one they give you! It's a really good reusable swim diaper by iPlay with sells for $10 at target! We love the one we got that day and have used it many times when we have taken him swimming since!
This is a great watepark for kids about 6-11. It does have an area for younger kids and, unlike the other local waterparks, has 2 good size slides, lazy river, pool and floating obstacle course type area. The youngest kids can use the lazy river and the shallow water area but probably not the slide or obstacle pool. It is not expensive and has a full concession area for lunch. The only downside is that it is so far west that it rains a lot in the afternoon and you have to wait until they determine whether they will re-open after lightening to re-issue a rain check. That can mean a lot of standing around. You might call ahead to see how many camps are coming (over the summer) on the day you want to visit as well.
just took 4 grandkids and their moms on a sunday outing to the waterpark. after reading the reviews was almost hesitant...the only one that hit home was another grandparent the gave me the head's up on the food. no, you can't bring coolers with food, but there are sodas which are fine and the usual dreadful pool food.,.but no problem, car parking is easy access and the kids went to the car for snacks, and sandwiches, .and the wrist bands made it easy to get n and out.. the park was clean,as were the slides, pools and great raft ride. at 76 I really loved the rafting...even did it twice!
While it's not bad for it's price, I was not impressed with the lifeguards, the campers were not being properly controlled and if you said something to the life guards, they pretty much looked and one said, it was not their problem. Not sure what they are there for, maybe only if someone was to drown, but they might miss it as they were not all diligent on the day we went.It was very crowded and not all that impressed. My 9.5 year old son has asked to not take him back. While I think it's okay once to try it out. Sorry, great idea, but needs better crowd control.
The waterpark was close to the hotel. It was much smaller than we are used to. It was clean and plenty of life guards around to supervise. We spent only 4 1/2hrs. there, as it was small and not enough to do. There were not enough tubes for the lazy river and many school trips were there. The children were not well behaved. I would not even recommending going there on a weekend.
