Great beer and very good service!!!! Bartender seemed a little disappointed when I said I didn't have a favorite but smiled when I said I liked them all!!
We stopped here as part of our Vermont Brewery Tour (filled the card, got the shirt!) They have a new tasting room and it was very nice. They had four beers to sample, and the samples were reasonably priced. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not my kind of beer, but we enjoyed the visit.
Switchback was a nice stop during our weekend in Vermont. It is in a factory space, but the tasting room is well done and nice to hang out in. They had some great merchandise available too. We did the tasting and it was reasonably priced and great to see what Switchback is all about.
Their IPAs are very good; try some of their beers then buy a groller to take home or just next door to the very good pizza place.
Switchback was our favourite brewery in Vermont. The staff was passionate and knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed their jobs. The tour was extensive, but didn't feel long. A particular highlight was seeing the bottling and kegging process on the ground floor. At the end of the tour, staff were extremely generous in their samples and even provided beer fresh from their vats. These guys emulate why people are increasingly attracted to craft beer. I hope they expand beyond their region.
Excellent tour guide...worked at facility...complicated process that was explained very well..purchased samples of the three beers...modest cost...enjoyable side trip
I love the beer and the atmosphere here. The windows into the brewing area make it clear where you are, and I am obsessed with the copper bar top. It is a very Vermont cozy feel. The beer is obviously delicious, and their apparel, while limited, is nice and reasonably priced. The service typically feels friendly, although not super attentive. I would never say they were rude, I would just think working in a brewery, your bartenders would be more enthusiastic about talking about the beers you brew. One time we were there one guy was great and talked to us about the Vermont Beer Passport, the other times though I felt as though they were disinterested. I will definitely keep coming in, and would suggest it as a great stop to anyone in Burlington.
This is a great brewery. The location is a little remote in the back of a "factory" but they did a great job with the tasting room. The tasting flights were reasonable and they have plenty of merchandise for purchase. The beer was very good!
We were welcomed as soon as we came in and asked if we would like samples. Great atmosphere. Only problem there was limited seating.
Stopped here on a tour of the breweries in the Burlington area. Had some great tastings and talked with the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Only two beers on tap but we were offered plenty of tastings for free. I believe they offered tours of the brewery every hour but you could see most of it through a window in the tasting area.
