Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you can attend the Hangar Party June 6 at the BG airport! Lots of airplanes, food and music!
Visited the park on Sept 1, 2014. The planes on display are very well restored and the descriptions of each on and their respective featured pilots is very well done. I enjoyed it. I look forward to visiting again when they get another plane in the fold. There is no cost to visit this attraction
The planes featured here have been restored with the utmost care! It is an experience to see former military people reliving their military years. You see sheer joy as they examine these planes!
Seeing the old, restored aircraft was very cool. But being able to read their stories and hear about it on the radio as well was a great treat and very educational. And, it is all free. What's not to love!
The planes are restored in very high quality, extremely detailed and displayed in a beautiful setting. The pilot stories are gripping and historical told on high quality outdoor reader panels and you can actually hear the stories in your car on the park's FM radio. Truly a remarkable find attractive to all ages interested in history, science and bravery. Can't go wrong since it is totally free. And easy to get to right off the Interstate.
I didnt know the planes were all on display outside!Informative articles on the planes. Park ideal for lunch break.
The Park has several meticulously restored warbirds, each with an information display detailing local aviators' contribution to our country's military efforts. It is a must see.........
It's actually a park in Bowling Green and you can touch all the aircraft on display. It's also free!
I've been to the Aviation Park several times, from when they first had General Cherry's F-4 to the current day with the latest addition of the F-111. It is nice to be able to get up close and see the planes for yourself.
Glad you enjoyed your visit. Be sure to come back by the first week of October when we install our most recent acquisition, T-38 Talon, flown by local astronaut Terry Wilcutt and other astronauts including Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, and Alan Shepard. A dedication is planned at the park October 18. Hope to see you there!
