Twice Upon A Time is my hands-down favorite antiques marketplace. The store features incredibly diverse vintage merchandise from many vendors. This store will most probably have whatever you're hunting for and is a great place just for browsing, if that's what you're in the mood for. My favorite purchase was a beautiful Carnival glass punchbowl, stand, glasses and hooks for a very fair price. Next time you're in Brattleboro, stop by the store and find whatever you've been looking for. I have been back several times, and have never been disappointed
If you love to search for treasures among the trash, or if you like to just search through kitschy junk, you'll become addicted to this store. Furniture, vintage clothes, kitchen ware, old books, jewelry....there's no way you can leave this place without finding at least one great find! I love Brattleboro's main street in general, but this i I reserve at last 45 minutes of browsing time at this shop. It's a "group" shop, which means there are probably 100 different dealers who each have there own booths. In the center of the store there are larger furniture items in an open space. Don't expect to see man high end antiques...this is more of a "collectibles" place. The only down side is the parking situation in Brattleboro. Tip: Just go to the new parking garage and don't waste time trying to find a space right on the Main St.
...Had I had room in the suitcase! I immensely enjoyed coveting items in each booth all the same. Picked up two sets of vintage earrings and a beautiful vintage scarf which gets compliments every single time I wear it.Allot at least one hour for browsing in this store. I'm quite sure everyone walks away with at least one treasured gem.
I love this place - love to rummage around from booth the booth looking for treasure in this group co-op antique store I have found some really cool things there over the years from first edition books to cut glass, unique silverware serving pieces, etc. You can easilly kill and hour or so checking it out. The clerks will call the booth owners for you should you find something you'd like to negotiate the price on.
A variety of antiques, from furniture to jewelry to lamps and clothing. Right on Main Street in Brat.
We have thought long about posting this. We stopped at an estate sale the people on the outside of the house were WONDERFUL! Engaging and interested in helping. Once they knew we were looking for doll things they directed us inside. Once inside we found a few American girl things that we were interested in, one was a bag of mismatched clothes and single shoes (not matched pairs). The women told our 10 year old it was $50 and was down right cruel to her when she tried to bargain. We also asked about an instrument for the dolls and she was asking ten dollars OVER retail. We understand you are in it to make money but we are POSITIVE you can make money without cruelty!
This shop had two full floors plus a balcony of antiques, many of high quality. I kept thinking, "I'd love to furnish a full house from here!" Modest pricing, endless nostalgia, what's not to like?
There's so much to see in this store that it's almost sensory overload. It reminds me a lot of a place in Newburyport (I think it's called Odd Market?) anyway I love stores like this. You do have to do some digging. They have an assortment of jewelry, pins, clothes, books, knick knacks, etc. Some of it can be passed off as junk but I found a really cute pair of anchor earrings and a book of Longfellow poetry from 1908. As for the ladies who work there? I found them to be pleasant and quite funny. I didn't get the vibe that they were rude or cruel in any capacity.
You never know what you'll find browsing at this funky, fun store. From vintage clothes to furniture and trinkets, you'll have a good experience looking around. Located right downtown, it's walkable from the parking lots nearby.
A very cool antique store right in downtown Brattleboro. Three stories with an assortment of clothes, furniture, and knick knacks. A great selection of things I have never seen anywhere else before. Its a little pricey but considering its right in downtown I am not surprised.
