The Inn has a most wonderful location, right on the shore of the south end of Kentucky Lake. That is mostly all it has going for it. The heating and Air Conditioning control is primitive - one of those places that the entire building is only on heat or only on cool. So if a cold spell hits, which it did to us, when the building is set to cool, you can turn up the thermostat as far as it will go, but you get no heat. Then there is the shower: almost NO flow. The entrance door has a sticker that happily announces they are sooo green, and saving water. Look folks, the place is on a fresh water lake of 4,008,000 acre-feet (I looked it up), so this isn't like out west where water is scarce. That is not the case here. There is no excuse for those pathetic no-flow shower heads in the bathrooms. This is a true example of a bunch of busybody ninnies goading government (which owns the Inn) into asinine actions that are totally inappropriate. Nice views though, as noted by others.
Old played to much! Look like this place was back in the 1950ds.you could not pay me to stay their again!
The Inn on the park is a wonderful, waterfront hotel with a three meal per day restaurant. The staff is great! The swimming pool is great in the summer, the pavilions are prefect for any event! The golf course has beautiful views!
We recently went on a boat trip and docked our boat at the Paris Landing Marina. The staff was extremely helpful and they let us borrow an electrical adapter and some bumpers for our our boat. We stayed for one night and it cost $22 which is a great value. They staff also gave us a ride down the road so we could get supplies. Its a very clean, modern marina. I would love to visit the marina and Kentucky lake in the summer.
I've stayed at the Inn once a year for the last 3 years and love it (plan to return this year). Great fishing, walking, swim beach, pool, and picnic areas. Food at the lodge is very good and other nearby restaurants are also great. This is a great family or couples retreat!
Stayed the week of July 4th- the campground is well set up, bath houses were fairly clean and it had a great small laundromat. There's a small store on the boat dock/pier that holds all the essentials and prices were reasonable. We brought a bass boat and had a wonderful time on the lake in between rain storms. Definitely will go back!
So I go to leave and I hand the key to the receptionist for our room 316 and she proceeds to tell me that my room is a blessed room. She kinda threw me off guard and really tried to draw me in for a religious discussion. It is 100% not appropriate, at a state park, to bring up religion and then try to preach to a good paying customer that has come all the way to Georgia to a state park in Tennessee and pay good money at the park. For a receptionist to try to start talking about religion to me and then be extremely rude when I refused to engage in the conversation is completely ridiculous. At the end of the day what is in the bible has nothing to do what is on a door number. Seriously this is ridiculous.
It was raining and we were on motorcycle. Good camping area. Clean Bathrooms. Only complaint would be the mosquitoes, I know it has been very wet there. Friendly locals.
A beautiful park right on the river. Nice place to jog, or picnic. Cleanest public bathrooms I have ever seen! I visited in winter, so the landscaping was bare, but still beautiful. There is a boat ramp, hotel, and convention center nearby.
We spent New Years Eve at Paris Landing. The room was super clean. The food was great and the staff was extremely friendly! A++++
