I'm a homebrewer and beer snob/geek. I like when a pub is more about the beer environment than the eating environment (good food is important, too). Fig Mtn has a congenial atmosphere and the pub-master is a delightful, warm person. We had a tour of the brewhouse, chatted about bicycling and brewing in general. Figueroa Mtn Brewing has really good brews, a fun pub environment, is committed to the local economy and community non-profit organizations. Don't miss enjoying a beer here when in Buellton.
My wife and I went wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley and were recommended by the Hotel to visit Figueroa Mountain Brewing on Friday night. We gave it a shot and we were blown away. First off the beers were very good and I am a beer snob. Second the crowd was great and thirdly live music was excellent. If you want a true craft brew experience stop by, we will be back.
This place is very well put together for only being open a few year. Tried the sampler with Wheat, IPA, Double IPA, and Brown. All were really good, but tasted a little green. Seems like they are really busy. If you are going to be passing by on the 101 this is a great place for a stop.
We always love visiting this brewery. Friendly staff and great selection. We went on a Saturday night and it was lively and busy. You can order food from nearby restaurants from a menu they provide. Avante flatbread pizzas and another pizza place, but we did not order from there. They night we were there they had a live band and the crowd seemed to be having a great time. Be aware that this place is not open late -- only open until about 9 p.m. on weekends so don't consider this a late-night party destination. They also have local wines to choose from if you don't like beer.
As part of a wedding party's tour of Santa Barbara, we stopped at Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company's brew pub. The beers were so cold and tasty that, after the tour ended, we hightailed it back here to sample more.
It is a must stop every time we are in the area. Always great beer, nice people and good music on the weekends. It is away from the crowds so even on a bust weekend you can find a place to sit and when the weather is nice they have a great outdoor area.
This place is always good for great service , food and brew. The bar and sports room have a Cheers like atmosphere. Fish tacos are good. A tad noisy and a bit expensive for us locals. Open/glass kitchen! You can watch them making your food if you're in the dining room. A big plus for health inspectors.
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a Hoppy Poppy. Played some horseshoes. Enjoyed the music. I also recommend the Red Viking.
This place was highly recommended by locals and it proved to be awesome. They have great beers on tap. Try the hoppy poppy or the American Ale. It has outdoor seating and clean bathrooms. It is close to other bars in the area.
A microbrewery that is fun to visit with a pizza garden on the side where you can order in from a local place, linger and taste beers with your lunch. much more casual and welcoming than the local winery.
