This park has a lot to offer in each season. In spring it is green, full of flowers, chirping birds and people and children playing or running. In the summer you can come here to relax, read a book at the shadow of a huge tree, hire a boat or go to a concert at the Roman Arenas. There are three restaurants and some small shops that sell ice cream, lemonade, chips and other snacks. In the autumn the leaves offer a great show and the park gets a little more quiet, perfect for young or old lovers. In the winter you can always make a snowman and admire the frozen lake. There is a museum in the park, recommended for people interested in technology. This park was created to make you feel relaxed and it is a great place to go to after a hard day at work.
I come here with my kid, not very big park, but not small also. has some children play grounds, also interesting to see the mausoleum and take photos.
It"s one of the Historical places in town due the fact that is one of the oldest and also by his meaning.Between the world war I and the second War there was the restaurants where the famous singer of the time Maria Tanase was performing authentic roumanian music shows. And the place was the name "Leul si Carnatul". Also there is the Tomb of the unknown soldier , The monument of the heroes build by the communist regime the Vlad Tepes Castle, and The Museum of Technical history. But what we like every time we go there are the playgrounds full of fun.
The park is good for a walk with skates or without. it is full of young people. There is a center monument, the main attraction of the park.
I've lived many years close to this park and I always found it to be relaxing, clean an safe. It has its share of historical monuments, including the Heroes' Mausoleum which offers a great view over the Palace of the Parliament, a lake and plenty walking routes.

i think its the quietest park in Bucharest, clean, playgrounds for kids to play, bikes to rent, the mausoleum is like the diva of this park, standing up there like on a stage. if you want to get to it you have to make some effort, climbing all those stairs. Lots of people come to jog here
the center piece of this park is the mausoleum which is similar whit Lenin's from Moscow . the view is spectacular , there are canons in front . the alleys are large and well groomed .
Nice, neat place to take a relaxed walk. A lot of youngsters, but still quiet enough and away from city crowds.
Designed at the beginning of the 20 th centry by the swiss-french landscape designer Eduard Redont, it has a surface of 41 ha and 2 ha of water. It had a lot of specific buildings which were removed during the comunist regime. At this point the Mausoleum was built, in the honour of the soldiers which died for the country. It a really nice place where you can go jogging, biking or just relax in the middle of Bucharests 4th sector.
