Came here after a visit to the farmers market nearby, there was way more produce stands here then at the market. Inside was very well kept and lots of booths outside. Tried the mini donut stand, loved them! Will be coming back when I need fresh produce.
Tried to plan a visit in January but the website is so out of date. An attempt to tell them failed when their email did not work
This place is a great flea market. Indoor is air conditioned and out door is more traditional market. If you go get a taco at Maria's, they hand make your taco shell and the food is excellent. I went there to buy a ranger belt at All About Leather. They have a great selection and the staff is very friendly. When we come to Bradenton we go to The Red Barn.
What a great place to visit. A Flea market with a produce market. You can find anything here. Food inside, with live music to listen while eating. Great deals and great finds. A fun place to go visit. Every year we come for vacation, this must be on a list of things to do.
The biggest draw to this huge covered "flea market" is the incredible variety of different types of venders. Plenty of sunglasses and enough shoes, but I found it refreshing to find everything else imaginable, from live plants to stringed instruments! Lots of beachwear to lots of every imaginable tool any handyman would want! We were grateful for plenty of food vendors as well and enjoyed all the metal art places too! A nice break from too much sun or a nice afternoon under a roof if the weather isn't cooperating. Prices were very reasonable for a flea market of this size! Check their schedule as the entire market has certain "open" days.
Visited on Dec 31, 2014 - lots of different stuff. Tools if you like tools. Clothes and jewelry if you like clothes and jewelry. Gifts and souvenirs, you name it, it's probably sold there. Ok, not caskets or large appliances. But there ARE hot tubs...Probably one of the best flea markets in the area.
Shopping at this flea market was a fun adventure. There is something for everyone! We went right at opening which was wonderful for fighting crowds and for parking. It really started picking up about an hour or two as we were leaving. While there is the typical flea market 'junk' there were also some fun jewelry stands, Florida t shirt and souvenir items, and sunglasses huts. My daughters really enjoyed the shell shop as well which were much cheaper than you would find anywhere else. The farmers market was beautiful. Wonderful and cheap produce! I would not recommend a stroller unless you have to- a baby carrier would be better as the aisles can be very tight and crowded.
We visit the red barn every time we come to the area. It is one of the largest and best maintained flea markets I have visited. You never know what you will find as you move up and down the aisles.
We arrived an hour before closing, so many places we're starting to close up. Lots of eating options, if I came back I'd eat lunch here. Nice to have a farmers market here too. I'd return again.
A visit to the Red Barn Flea Market was certainly interesting. They have vendors inside a building, as well as many vendors outside. I preferred walking through all the vendor displays outside, more than inside. Prices seemed fair. PROS. Lots of things to see, both inside and outside.PROS. Free parking with lots of spots available.CONS. Driving through Bradenton traffic just to get to the flea market!CONS. (For visitors) It was too crowded! It's great for the vendors... but difficult for visitors.CONS. They have food vendors, but I think it wouldn't hurt to have a few more. We stood in a long line just trying to buy a pretzel. In the end, we gave up and walked away.
