The view of Manhattan skyline is worth making the trip to Brooklyn Heights. There are also lots of beautiful historic neighborhoods, charming places to eat and drink and shop.
The neighborhood offers something for everyone. Very relaxed dining experiences to higher end. Great culture, very clean and a nice, relaxing walk back to Manhattan.
This is one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Brooklyn. We enjoyed our day walking around here.
There is a reason Brooklyn Heights was the first thing the Landmarks Commission thought to designate a historic landmark in the 1960s. It is beautiful. It's like stepping back in time. It was the first suburb in the United States and still boasts early 19th century clapboard houses mixed with high Victorian homes. The neighborhood is tree-lined, well-maintained and gorgeous. It also boasts the promenade, with spectacular panoramic views of the skyline and easy access to Brooklyn Bridge Park, along the waterfront. It is worth a visit for foreign travelers and locals alike.
A place where your head is going to twist all the times, as there are so many beautiful buildings, bar reliefs, little decorations and details. Coziest place in New York, I'd love to live on one of those streets
This neighborhood has some beautiful, original architecture. There are several churches and some unique styles of architecture.
1 stop form Manhattan good restaurants, amazing view of Lower Manhattan, 3 times a week farmers market all year round. The Promenade, great train service form many lines, quaint, trees, historic!
In appearance, similar to Georgetown, DC but more international. And SAHADI'S deli foods are second to NONE. You get hungry by just walking into the store on Atlantic Avenue and breathing in the aroma! Tell the Owner, George Kevorkian's grandson sent you!!
Love Brooklyn Heights , an upscale are with many restaurants. It is safe but as in all other areas of the city beware of your surroundings. Check out the promenade.
I have taken numeorus UK visitors through the streets of the Heights and they were all impressed how fascinating and beautiful the architecture is. It's a lovely stroll when the linden trees are in bloom and well worth a visit to understand Brooklyn's growth. Still unspoilt.
