While staying in Aberfoyle a couple of days we nipped in to this Toy Museum on the way to our Hotel well worth your time popping in for a look. I suddenly got swept up in nostalgia. I could go on and on and on about this place, you won't be dissapointed and well worth the £3 to look round. There is so much too look at and the years of collecting these toys is evident in the displays, every inch of the shop is filled with decades of toy history.
A unique and very well stocked Toy Museum and Toy Shop. The Museum is suitable for all ages of adults more so than children. A great trip down memory lane. Well worth the low cost entry charge.
I always loved coming here as a child, and even more so now that I appreciate the time and dedication it must have taken to open such a wonderful shop/museum.
This is an incredible private collection to suit children from 5 to 95 years old. Excellent. It is easily discovered on the Main Street.
We spent a short time in the museum which has a very large collection of every toy known. Felt that it was a little too packed in to appreciate some of the items, but understand that space is a consideration. You will probably see toys that will bring back happy childhood memories.
If you want to relive your childhood this is the place for you some incredible exhibits on display. Do not be deceived by the exterior as it will appear small but once inside it is an Aladins cave. Could have spent hours browsing didn't purchase any items but if a collector or enthusiast I am sure you will dont miss it
Well if you want to go back in time this is for you xx The memories in this shop are amazing takes you right back all your toys from days past are here great wee visit XXX
I visited the museum as part of a coach party visiting Callander. The collection is huge, with dolls, model soldiers, tin toys, teddy bears, die cast vehicles, model railways, games, books, slot cars, TV and film toys. Toys from Victorian times to the present day. I found my doll in the museum which I was given when I was 3 years old. Thunderbird toys brought back memories. The entrance fee of £3 was well-worth it. I am sure the museum will suit everyone who loves toys. Unfortunately, I couldn't spend as much time here as I would have liked, but I certainly will make a return visit.
The museum is excellent, I am both a collector and dealer of comic book related items and the museum had some of the most amazing things I have seen. Loads of DC items I had never seen before and will struggle to see anywhere else but thats not to mention so many other cool items and has a little something for everyone. It really is a must see and as an added bonus the shop is great with loads of excellent items old and new, although now down two fantastic Simpsons Watches which i am still over the moon about getting. The staff are brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Will be visiting again soon :D
A house which has been turned into a toy museum. Lots of interesting and old toys some which I recognised from my own youth.
