We decided to go to the Camarillo Premium Outlets on our trip to the LA area in December. The outlets are spaced over three very large sections/parking lots. The stores are all open facing into the parking lots.We parked in one area and walked to the other lots. We were expecting lots of traffic and people on December 23rd, but the mall was not full. We stopped at the Jockey and Disney store. Bot of the stores were very well stocked, but the sales were not that "spectacular". Overall it was good to shop at stores that we do not have in our part of Canada. But would I do the drive to get here again, probably not.
I shop there more than the mall! Restrooms are clean and there are several....coupons available at the information center....Senior Day...Tuesdays.
A nice and big outlet. Very good shopping with a nice variety of stores. The usual junk-food restaurants and amble parking.
great place, now more food choices than before...plenty of parking...easy freeway access...nice community
This outlet has some good stores, but it is spread across two blocks, so you need to do some navigating to get to where you want to be.
This place is excellent - I've visited the Desert Hills Premium Outlet centre in the US, the Tanger outlet centre in Barstow, the Bicester Village here in the UK, and many others, and the Camarillo Premium Outlet centre is the best of the lot, in terms of the quality of the brands and the prices on offer. The first thing to know about outlet centres is that they're something of a con - the majority of clothes that you find in outlet centres, for instance, are never for sale in the normal stores of any brand but are instead produced cheaply in export processing zones in the far east and are sold exclusively in outlet centres. But hey, if you're happy with what you've bought, that's fine. Anyway, that aside, there are some really nice bargains to be had here - I picked up some really nice cases in the Oakley store, and some ties and shorts in the DKNY store.Anyway, for the range that's on offer and the quality of the stores here, you can't beat Camarillo. Stop by on your way up the coast and you won't be disappointed.
There are 3 parts to the outlet. The newest part has the new restaurants so you probably want to be over there about meal time. I would drive as it is a very long walk from the back part of the center to the new stores. There is a Subway and a pretzel place and ice cream in the back section of the outlet mall and a candy store and food court in the middle section if you would rather eat there instead. If you know the retail prices ahead of time you will be able to determine if the prices being asked are good deals. Some stores like Talbots is completely outlet clothes while other stores have outlet clothes and clothes from their retail stores as well.
I'm not an outlet kind of person, but we get a lot of visitors, some driving over 100 miles to shop here in Camarillo. There are a lot of different shops here, with easy freeway access, a large theatre, many places to eat, and a short drive away on the other side of the freeway the rest of the city is available.Don't forget that we now have a trolly car that hits all the major shopping centers. Keep an eye out for it and you can travel from one center to another - no charge that I'm aware of - and then back to you car. Saves gas, pollution, and stress of driving.
I went with my wife and daughter wondering what the hell was I going to do wile they had fun shopping. But (!) the place is so BIG, shops of all kinds that I had a lot of fun with them. One day is NOT enough, two is good. Some shops have the same price of shopping, but some have bargains. Go to Camarillo if thinking about shopping.
We visited the outlets in Camarillo on Black Friday. Boy was it packed with people! But unlike most malls, this is an Outlet mall with 3 separate buildings to shop...and park! First off, there were traffic control by mall security. Nice, get the flow going in an orderly fashion. Next, shops were expecting the crowd so there was organization in the mall common areas instead of just a horde of people trying to get into the popular stores. Lastly, since attendance was at its peak, the deals were many and price well. Shopping there meant like you really got a good bargain. I always look forward to shopping here.
