I'm not into Kinkade art and so I'm not a good judge of this small shop with crowded walls. I was impressed with a painting by the artist of Candlestick Park with a Giant game going on.
A great selection of Kinkade art work and a Great Staff. They are always helpful and remember just about all their customers.
I've always hated this poor excuse for art. Before it was put on toilet seat covers, t shirts and coasters, Kinkaid might have produced passable scenic art. But he so degraded all art with his commercialism thaT I can't even look at it as art anymore.
The kincade gallery is what it is. For those who enjoy such treacle it is undoubtedly a joy. I am not a member of that group, thus my negative review. I think my title says it all. Another way of putting it, feel good fake art for a price. No harm done unless one thinks their purchase will ever go up in value.
This Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery is in the downtown Capitola Area. The gallery has some of the classic Kinkade pieces for sell. While I enjoyed visiting the small shop, I am rating it average as the one in Carmel is a lot more spectacular.
Every quaint place in the USA seems to have a Kinkaid Gallery. It gets tiring after awhile. They even feature Kinkaids on cruise ships.
Extensive showing of Thomas Kinkade artwork, They have a lot of stories and background information on Thomas Kinkade and his artwork which I found to be very interesting.
