Infinitely better downtown than it ever was in the 1980s when we were in high school. Nice restaurants, craft beer bars, breweries, shops, etc.
We have lived here for just over a year and a half and love walking along Main Street. We were in a larger town with a Main Street that is no where near how nice and friendly this Main Street is. Keep up the good work and decorating!
Definitely a street to remember. Winding 4 blocks of street and shops of all kinds, restaurants and pubs. You'll fall in love with downtown Cedar Falls!
The Cedar Falls main street is postcard like (my wife wanted to come back to see if it's decorated for Halloween). It's got a nice selection of restaurants and cupcakes are available!
Lots of variety of restaraunts, pubs, coffee house martini bar. Nicely decorated, pedestrian friendly.Spend an afternoon and finish with a nice dinner .
Planning a weekend in Cedar Falls? I would recommend staying at the Black Hawk Hotel downtown. Upon arrival on Friday night have a nice dinner at Montage and then cocktails at the Stuffed Olive in the hotel. In the morning walk across the street to Cup of Joe and get a quad latte and a scone. After breakfast you can rent a bike and jump on the trails and head over to George Wyth State Park (you could walk the trails as well). Back for lunch just pick a local bar & grill (there are many) for a sandwich and a beer. The Ice House Museum is a nice stop for after lunch. Be sure to stroll down Main Street and visit the local shops and hot spots. At the other end of main from the hotel you can stop at the beautiful local library to catch up on news and browse books. For dinner I'd recommend The Brown Bottle for some Italian fare (that's off Main - but not too far off course). If you're a craft beer fan then you'll want to finish out the night at Single Speed. And that's just the tip of the ice burg for things to do in Cedar Falls.
If you are looking for something to do in Cedar Falls then just head to downtown Cedar Falls on Main Street. There is everything there from food to shopping. You could easily spend most of your day or night there.
Downtown Cedar Falls is a great place to meet, shop and dine. There is something for everyone from fine restaurants, to local bars to antique shops. Plenty of nearby parking and a short walk to the river front park.
We enjoyed how easy it was to walk and enjoy the diverse restaurants, bars, coffee houses and shops.
Lots of specialty shops and interesting sights....takes you back in time a little. You can visit shops that will keep you healthy, get your hair fixed, and get delicious baked goods.
