One of the main attractions in the city of Charleston, the Capital of West Virginia. We spent some good time at this mall. The mall is open from 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM on all days except Sunday, where it closes at 6.30 PM. It is located at a prime centre, Downtown area.Charleston Town Center is an enclosed shopping mall in Downtown Charleston, West Virginia, USA. One of the largest enclosed malls to be located in a Downtown shopping district, it comprises of three levels, of which one level is a food court and play area on the top level.. Popular full-service restaurants include Chili's Bar & Grill, the Chop House, Outback Steakhouse and Tidewater Grill. The mall consists of about 140 shops including Anchor stores JCPenney, Macy's and Sears. The mall is owned by Forest City Enterprises. The mall was opeened in November 1983..Starbucks, located at the ground level gives good ambiance for the visitors and ample space fo sit and enjoy the flavors of Coffee. It is an overall good time out for us, We enjoyed the place as well as the Coffee.
We were in the area from out of state on Spring Break. Interested in checking out the area before we moved on, we decided to pay a visit to this mall as we had stayed the night before at the hotel across the street. We were very impressed with the service at Visionworks, as my husband had accidentally damaged his sunglasses, and they not only bent them back into shape, but gave us a free case to prevent future accidents. The staff of Teavana was great, helping us select teas and accompaniments, which we purchased. At about this point, our 10 year old needed a restroom badly. I inquired at the "Pretzel Twister" where the nearest restroom was, as our child danced beside me. The man behind the counter gestured back toward the direction we came. And said, "around the center of the mall". I then noticed we were next to a JCPenney and asked the man if there are restrooms in their department stores....to which he replied that (he's) "not the director around here". Is it really offensive to be asked where a restroom could be found? He had no customers. Go figure.
Charleston Town Center is much like many suburban malls except it's downtown and costs $1.50 to park. Good variety of stores. A shout out to the clerks at Books-a-Million and Yankee Candle for being some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered in a mall.
I really like the layout of this mall. It has three levels as well as a good variety of stores to choose from. Good variety of choices available in the food court too.As others have mentioned, there is a parking fee to shop but it's minimal and the garage seemed quite safe. It's connected to the mall at various entry points, so you won't spend a half hour hiking from your car to the stores.
I visit here sometimes to grab lunch. The parking does cost $1.75, but sometimes I use meters to save money depending on how long I will be in the mall. If you park in the meter lot near Sears, the cut off on the meters is at 6, so after 6 you can basically park for free. That gives you 3 hours to shop.
well maintained and brightly lit. Convenient parking. Penneys, Sears, Macys, and a nice vsriety of regional stores. Plenty of seating in food court. Nice play area for kids.
Nice multi-level mall with many stores. Very nice parking garage. The food court was nice with several food selections. Seemed like a little more than average amount of sketchy people around especially near the entrances though. Security seemed to be nonexistent.
The Charleston Town Center Mall has always been one of my favorite mall to be going to shop, as I have been there countless times of all my life with my family and my friends as well. I highly recommend Charleston Town Center Mall if you are looking for some malls to go shopping, because this mall have over 150 businesses for you to browse around.
