Well paved with lots to see and some shade. Not much refreshments so bring your own. The staff is helpful and maps are available!!
Beautiful for walking and riding bike! Enjoyed the scenery and had a great time walking with my friends. I love that it's right here in our backyard and easy to get to.
Beautiful area, easy bike ride. The path is very shady and smooth. We saw deer, snakes, butterflies, and more. We will definitely ride again.
these trails are all over gulf shores and they are excellent.our hotel was located right next to a state trail called coyote crossing. My Two dogs and I hopped on the trail and walked for two miles down nice paved lanes and saw bikers, and runners and walkers of all ages. the view was beautiful with thick wooded trees, green grasses and nice landscaping. the trails all intersect and you can go as far or as little as you want.great way to get exercise for the two legged or four legged traveler.
We biked this trail as a family, and were lucky enough to see an alligator with babies on her back, as well as an armadillo. The trail is wide, clean, and most of all we felt safe the entire time. I would recommend it for joggers, walkers and bikers.
really nice trail to run, walk, bike, whatever. plenty of shade, safe, and nice scenery. plenty of shade which is nice in the summer
Beautiful trails in which nature has been well preserved while still introducing paved paths for our observation. We saw butterflies the size of your hand, an alligator and it's baby, and multiple varieties of plant life. We really enjoyed biking and running the trails. My only advice would be take water, I only saw one fountain.
Bicycles can be rented nearby. Thr trails are well marked and can accommodate walkers and bicyclists. There are several lenghths of paths that wind through swamp and forests alike. We saw a momma alligator and her babies. A beautiful butterfly garden provides picnic canopies for enjoying the day.
We live fairly close to Orange Beach, Alabama and we absolutely love the Back Country Trail. It is used by both pedestrians and bikers, but we prefer to ride our bikes. The whole trail is free of vehicles. It is paved and winds through brush and trees. Very scenic, quiet, safe and peaceful. The round trip is about 12 miles and includes some gentle hills. The city of Orange Beach has produced a real gem. Such a great way to get exercise and feel in touch with Nature.
Great place to take your dog for a walk! There is a bathroom and drinking fountain about 1.5 miles from the Catman Road entrance.
