The new chef is bringing back good food and the golf course much better than the past. Golf here many times and would say a can miss experience.
lovely quiet golf course in a beautiful neighborhood.
Great semi-private country club. Excellent golf course and club house. The course is a NIcklaus (6700 yds) design and very scenic. It is reasonably priced and has a great staff.
We had belonged to this club and due to the new ownership and continuing bad service and food cancelled our membership. The food is terrible and the pool is a disaster and we have heard they may not keep the pool open. Not a really country club at this point that is for sure. It has become an extreme disappointment to an otherwise great neighborhood. What a shame.
Excellent golf course and food at club. The front nine was mostly wide open and easy to play, the back side had a lot more hills and trees and a lot harder to play.
Well balanced challenge - challenges are there, but not impossible. Greens are always well kept and employees are always welcoming.
This place has no business serving what is supposed to be consumed as: F O O D --- Having eaten there twice at invitation of relatives, I now know to order a salad and hope for the best.
My wife and I just got married here, and it was a great venue. The price was unbelievably good, with no hidden fees and no extra charge to hold the wedding here when we had originally only booked the reception. We had to order chairs from outside for the wedding, but the staff set everything up for us. The food was very well-priced and delicious. Syvella, the event coordinator, was a very calm and assuring presence, and worked incredibly hard to make the ceremony and reception run smoothly. It is a beautiful venue, and well worth the price-we actually could not book a church sanctuary that would look as nice as low as we could book Salem Glen for the ceremony and reception. The customer service was great, and the message sent to my wife and I was this: Salem Glen, Syvella and the chef especially, were so happy for us and for our wedding and were excited to be a part of our day. They wanted our business, and more importantly, wanted our happiness with their service. I am excitedly recommending this place to anyone thinking of getting married in the Winston-Salem/Clemmons/Lewisville area. It is truly a treasure.
For years Salem Glen was one of my favorite places to play golf.. A fair but challenging layout matched with meticulous groundskeeping always made for an enjoyable day of golf. However, afeter 5-6 years of providing this type of playing experience, the groundskeeping began to slip a little until the last time that I played the course and the greens were not in good condition, some of the traps had not been raked, etc. Before spending your money here, verify with someone that it's in great shape.
We were distracted by the number of homes that looked abandoned or in ill repair. Sad.
