Unique place to visit. The castle is a nice look out point to see river. Lots of playgrounds for kids to play. Beautiful place to get married or for family pictures.
The kids really enjoyed our visit to Eagle Point. They loved walking around the "castle" and enjoying the views from the top. The little parks scattered around are great too.
A nice park for large and small get together a. Great scenery. Wish they had more hiking trails. A lot of picnic tables available and playground equipment.
This park situated on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi is worth a trip from anywhere. You can enjoy it from your car or see some breathtaking views with very little walking.
Eagle Point is one of the most beautiful parks in the area. I wish they would have kept it up better. As a child I remember the monkey house, I remember fish in the pools under the waterfall, the zoo and all that is gone now. The beauty of the park is still there though. The views of the river are fantastic in certain areas of the park.
We recently visited to take family pictures. There are so pretty spots but the waterfall was not running nor did it looked like it had in some time. The roads are terrible in the park. Clinton county needs to take care of that.
We went out of our way (maybe 15 minutes) to visit this park in hopes of seeing interesting views of the Mississippi River. We weren't disappointed. We drove through the park, stopped at a couple vistas and were back on the road in maybe 30 minutes. The views are wide, lots of birds (I never knew pelicans are this far north), and the fall colors were perfect.
The castle smells a little funny, but the view is terrific. The Symphony of Lights runs from Thanksgiving through Christmas, definitely worth checking out.
A really lovely park. Nice to drive through, view the river, etc. They do mess it up in the winter for a Xmas themed light display- ick. This area is best when unspoiled by nasty twinkling lights, but children and the simple minded seem to like this kind of thing.
The park is in dire need of upkeep. We went there specifically to take in the view of the river from the observation tower. The tower is old and dirty and the stone steps to the top are uneven, with some broken, and it is rather dark in the winding staircase. When we got to the top there was not much of a view...too many trees between the tower and the river. I would definitely not recommend taking small children to this "attraction."
