Dear Jorene,Thank you very much for visiting the winery and writing a review. We hope that your travels will bring you back to our area soon and that you will visit and enjoy the view of the Mississippi and the wines.Kind regards,Martha
Like drinking wine in a tree house. beautiful summer afternoon. Steady flow of wine tasters. Live music on Saturdays.
Love this place! We liked every wine we tried and enjoyed a bottle on the dech with a river view. This was a nice shady place to spend a warm sunny afternoon with friends.
We stopped by Wide River as part of an Iowa Winery tour. The building is great-- lots of seating, very upscale decor, and lots of tasting options. During the tour they had live music and an appetizer buffet. Both were excellent. The view from the patio is excellent, and invites guests to linger. A great addition to a day trip experience.
Don't miss when in Clinton. Lovely deck with spectacular views of the river. Friendly atmosphere. Be sure to walk the trail along the river.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of your visit to the winery. We are happy that you enjoyed your visit and hope that you will return soon. We have live music every Friday at our Le Claire, IA location from 5-8pm and every Saturday from 4-7pm at the winery in Clinton.
beautiful view of the Mississippi river, good tasting wines friendly staff, outside sitting viewing the river. music on weekends
My husband and I have been to Napa, CA several times and we would rate this place as one of the most enjoyable wineries we've visited. Tasting was very good and our server was very knowledgeable. Their deck overlooking the Mississippi River was a lovely spot to enjoy their lunch tray which was delicious! We enjoyed a cold, crisp bottle of wine and just relaxed in all the autumn's glory! Wines were very good and we especially enjoyed their "fall" wines of which we bought several bottles to take home for Thanksgiving (along with several others). Well worth the trip and the winding road to get there. Wish there was somewhere as scenic and delightful near us.
Winery is set on top of a hill. The view is phenomenal...looks down at the widest part of the Mississippi. Wine pourer was knowledgeable and friendly. The deck where we were "sipping on the Mississippi" was beautiful . Wine tastings are free and they have some beer..
I visited the winery as part of an Iowa Wine Tour. The location is beautiful, staff was friendly, and most important a good variety of excellent wine. Be sure to check out the Merry Berry slush. The only downside is the driveway up the hill is in rough shape.
