Come to Clovis, you will love this place. In the summer they have a Farmer's Market with entertainment and dancing. Restaurants here are good. There are lots of antique stores. You are close to Yosemite, Sequoia and other recreational parks..There is a fantastic zoo and the underground gardens is a must to see., They have a Civil War reinactment every year here too.
As a Clovis resident since 2003, I think Old Town Clovis is great for antiques and nick-knacks shopping enthusiasts. There is ample complimentary public parking within a short walking distance. The streets are clean and well maintained. My frank opinion about antique shops is they are full of junk discarded by other people. I am constantly amazed those "antique" shops manage to stay in business. At a glance, there is one "real" store in Old Town, it sells new washers and dryers. A few restaurants dot the area. Old Town looks like a quaint picture postcard when decorated for Christmas Holidays.
A pretty place with lots of stores and restaurants! Great if you love antiques/vintage stores! Beautiful fall leaves in November and looked like Christmastime would be lovely as well. Lots of walking, easy parking on street of city lots.
Old Town Clovis is centered on Pollasky Avenue in Clovis, California. It is an electic mixture of antique shops, restaurants, and businesses. During the year Old Town Clovis hosts many activities. One of the main events each year is the Farmer's Market which is held each Friday evening during the summer season. It is quite a popular event with a great mixture of vegetable and fruit stands along with several different eating areas. There is also musical entertainment. It also hosts a huge pole vaulting championship event each year right on Pollasky Avenue.. During the year Old Town Clovis also hosts many events such as Big Hat Days, a rodeo parade, and a children's electrical Christmas parade. Old Town Clovis is a nice place to just go and relax.
Whether you are looking for a gift shop, a specialty shop, or are just looking for a bite to eat, Old Town Clovis has it all. Just take a walk down Pollasky and I'm sure you will find something that catches your fancy. It seems like there is some sort of festival or farmers market or other type of event happening every Friday night. They even have antique sales from time to time. There are modern stores too such as Lululemon that have made their way into Old Town Clovis. Needless to say, you need to visit Old Town Clovis to check out all it has to offer.
Ok, so I live in Clovis, is that a reason not to love it? The reason we live here is because it is the warmest, friendliest, most comfortable place in the central valley. The folks, the business, and the location, what else is there!
Charming little town with a local history museum and antique shops, restaurants, and specialty shops in the the greater Fresno area.
Clovis takes you back in time to small town America. In the summertime they have a farmers market every Friday night. Every week there is a different form of entertainment and good food. People are friendly and streets are full of antique shops.
Looking for that something special for the person who has everything. Well the Antique shops in Old Town should be able to help you find that special gift. There are several shops to browse and even if you don't find anything it will have been a grand time. You can also get an ice cream, a little bit to eat or buy a cowboy hat, its all up to you
