I came from pine bluff and make it a point to go to pickles gap flea market....the lady working 2/28/2015 at 12 pm was a terrible terrible employee and I will never come back to the whole pickles gap ever if something isn't done about this woman. Unhelpful ...attitude....was a real bi$ch for lack of a better term. I walked out without getting ANY of my armload of purchases because other.
Try the fudge! There's a cool old country shop and lots of hand crafted items. Quilts, hand carved stuff, etc.
A quick stop at pickle gap will inspire your day! GREAT atmosphere and food! The barbecue was great, the beans were amazing, and the pistachio ice cream was to die for.
We went to Pickles Gap for two things. One turned out really well, the other didn't really turn out. We wanted to taste the fudge that we had been told about, and maybe get some ice cream. The fudge was really good (and I don't really like fudge as a rule), and they had generous portions of Blue Bell ice cream at a good price as well.We also had seen they had a kiddie village (or whatever they call it) as well, and our young kids like to play on playgrounds and see animals, so we thought it would be good. It was nothing at all, really. The only things to play are quarter-operated merry-go-rounds and horses (like used to be outside of supermarkets), and they had just a couple of goats to look at.I can't speak to the shopping, because that's not our thing, but that was our experience. Worth the trip for the fudge and ice cream, though.
Home-town feel! The fudge is a must-try!! Cute little shop with interesting curiosities ! The sales people are very friendly and make you feel at-home!! Worth the stop when you are in the area!!
Small village with the usual shops. Candy, local crafts and restaurant. Shop keepers were friendly and seemed to appreciate your visit. One time event.
Stopped by on our way to Branson and found it to be a neat little place to stop and look We bought some wonderful homemade fudge and looked around in the shops. Will stop again when we're ready to get fudge. Great little shop and very friendly people there.
Restaurant has superb chicken salad on a croissant. Stopped off there multiple times for that one! Bootlegged fudge to hotel and then took more home. Wonderful stuff! Clean, rural, very friendly staff who made certain that you were taken care of with all due respect. Also bought some of the jams and jellies. Same excellent quality. Wish I had bought more. Crushed to find out that they were not open for dinner. Lots of other stuff in various shops to check out.
this is a place to get tourist real bad. some of the flea market was really bad. They didn't have hardly any thing. But the prices is really had. the place is really run down. Some of the staff is nice. I would called this a tourist trap. Others might like this, but we will not go back.
I loved the name and had to stop! The ladies inside the Wax Worm were amazing and the shop had some great finds. While it is a bit Flea market-like, I thought it was great for buying gifts for friends back home. Being that the shop was indoors was indoors was a plus! The cafe wasn't open and I didn't try the fudge. Wish I had! Will definitely visit again.
