I entered the centre to investigate leaflets /guides for a party of 11 musicians staying nearby for a week. The staff were really helpful. They researched the best way for the party to do day trips into London - which was great - and were also able to sell me the group tickets recommended. I fully recommend it to visitors and anyone local in need of information.
I liked this place, very neat and clean. Very close to main market area and rail station. You can avail basic facilities like Oyster card etc here.
I went to Croydon for the first time in years this week to follow a Bus Sculpture Trail. The station staff told me where the information centre was..it was very close by and the staff were friendly and helpful. A gentleman gave me a map of the trail and pointed me in the direction of the first one. I came back in the afternoon and told him it was all done..seen them all. He was really pleased and asked if he could see the pics..he was really happy to see these works of art in his town. I will visit Croydon again. I like the place but it always helps if there's a cheerful face to welcome you.
Very good advice on local attractions and Croydon in general, good selection of leaflets.Friendly and knowledgable staff.
Personally I liked everything about that center. I would recommend it everyone who wants 2 safe money on they travel and get best route for what u looking for. Thanks a mil guys u r really great
Very well located - right next to the rail station. They will provide you with any travel information you need, from how much it costs you to get to a certain place to the directions of the best way to get there. You can also purchase travel tickets or top up your oyster card there.
This place and its staff saved my day! I desperately needed access to a computer at short notice; the visitors centre polite and efficient staff allowed me to use the computer, allowing me to meet an important work deadline. Whilst in the shop I overheard their treatment towards other customers which was nothing short of exceptional and more importantly consistenrly exceptional! I was only able to pick up the gentleman's name: Alvin but must say that te lady working with him deserves just as much credit.A great experience - thank you once again!
By Croydon Station, this information centre is a good source of travel and visitor information. You can also get your Check Out Croydon card there which provides discounts and offers in selected local retailers, bars and restaurants. The Centre is due to close in about 2 months as the site is being totally rebuilt as part of Croydon Regeneration
Not being a visitor (having lived in Croydon for over 40 years) understandably, up to now, I have had little need for contact with the Croydon Visitor Centre; however having been given the opportunity to mount a display for the Croydon Healing Centre in the window for the last week, I have had the chance to witness what actually goes on here. Every occasion when I have spent time here, (whether giving healing treatments or talking to members of the public), I have been struck by just how much knowledge the lovely friendly staff have - about Croydon itself or where to visit from here - and how they all obviously enjoy giving superb "customer service". I am really looking forward to the beginning of November when I shall be back with another window display for the Croydon Healing Centre - and I cannot recommend the Croydon Visitor Centre too highly.
Buy your day pass here for trains, they will give you the time of day and explain anything you need to know about London, if you buy tickets at the train station you will get flummoxed and stressed as they don't help you nearly as much and you will hop on wrong trains!
