What a great course, very nice, and the staff is great. The food in the bar is very good, and the food at the turns is just as good.
By far the best daily fee course in Houston! The tee choices will accommodate every level of golfer and challenge the best of you out there from the tips. The fairways are well manicured, the bunkers are consistent and right now the rough is deep! The greens are some of the best you will find in the area and you will not see a clown or windmill on any of them...Not cheap but worth the price. Don't miss the ladies and food in Jake's Grill a perfect end to a great round of golf.
I love this golf course. There are two different 18's that you can play here at Blackhorse. The course conditions are always in great shape, and the greens are well manicured. I will say that they are a little on the pricey side, $75 during the week, and @ $90 dollars on the weekend. I guess at least this keeps the masses away, so you don't really have to worry about getting backed up on the course, or have people rushing you, which is good. The club house is nice, and they sometimes have a detail area for your car while you play golf. I believe the service for that is about 70 dollars, again, not cheap. But all in all if I were to treat myself to an awesome day of golf, this would be the place.
The south course is a ball eater, and the north course is slightly more straight forward. This facility has two great public courses. The pro shop attendants have a tendency to display their perceived authority if your group sizes change to smaller numbers. Overall, top notch.
Due to the fact that this restaurant is inside the Golf Club at Blackhorse, I believe it is often overlooked as a general place to have lunch. They have fabulous burgers and sandwiches, hot and cold. Great food, very good service. I keep having to remind myself that it is just a stone's throw away because of it's almost hidden location!!
Excellent well maintained golf course. Restaurant is great for a quick lunch before a round. I have played both courses and prefer the South course. Driving range is a great place to warm up your swing.
I live next to BH and it is my primary course. They have 2 18s. Best kept course in the area, pricey in the mornings. Very nice clubhouse for lunch.
Blackhorse has 36 holes of the best, daily fee golf in Houston. Both courses are always in great shape. The greens run about 10 1/2. The courses can play tough from the tips but are OK for the average golfer from the appropriate tees. Love Blackhorse and play whenever I can.
Worth the $100 green fee. Really good conditions and nice people. Range could be improved. The marshals keep pace of play moving.
Went for breakfast. Not real expensive. Smaller portions were just right. Ate outside with view of folks teeing off and sinking puts. The servers were awesome! You can add items if you're hungry. You eat in the clubhouse, so it's nice. Browse the pro shop when your done. Nice stuff in there.
