The Tower was a hit with the youths and Granny. Even though the day was overcast, the view was phenomenal. The interactive computers were especially helpful in spotting landmarks and the face paintings were an unexpected and appreciated ending to a great visit. The staff was out of sight - especially Melissa K, Michelle G. and Burk Murchison. They were great hosts.
So I was doing a quick walking tour of Dallas on a roadtrip and I was on my own for the time being. I wanted to see a few sites within a short walk or train ride away. Michelle, the receptionist, convinced me that I should check it out. And I certainly wasn't let down. Reunion tower gives an awesome view of the city that I couldn't have gotten from anywhere else. I even spotted the red pegasus and got some cool selfies. -Sean
My boyfriend and I visited the tower on March 1st in the evening. It was a nice experience. You were able to walk outside on the patio area and take in the view in the open air. The inside was updated with computers that gave you information on the area and an idea of where things were located. It was helpful to go on the first night, because it gave me a prospective of where things were in the area.
We live downtown Dallas and had been wanting to go for a while since it is such a big attraction for Dallas. We really enjoyed going with friends and seeing our neighborhood from hundreds of feet up. We went during the day to the Geodeck and will likely go back to the nice restaurant at night to see how the city looks all lit up. We used a Groupon and we would likely go again to the geodeck if they bring it back to Groupon. They take a picture of your group that you can send to yourself which was nice- Michelle G with the photos was very friendly!
Great attraction with helpful and knowledgeable people. We went during the day and should have come back at night but we ran out of time on our trip. The deck is outside so we happened to bring our jackets otherwise it would have been way to cold to walk on the deck.
We enjoyed the visit, bit pricey for the view. We did it, once, not something to do again. They have a restaurant and a cafe in this location.
Quite simply spectacular. Way too pricey though. Still, you have to do it when visiting the Big D. Geo Deck bar serves splendid Margaritas and just about the best hot cookies and ice cream anywhere. They are great value. However, geo deck cafe is not always open and closes early when you assume it's open. Check first!
The food is atrocious and expensive.I ordered Mediterranean salad and the lettuce was drenched in vinegar and 12 hours after eating I am still burping with vinegar flavor. For $6.50, you get cheese burger which is nothing but two slices of regular bread with a slice of cheddar cheese between them. At around 1:45 PM on a Sunday they ran out of Butterfield Garlic Chicken - an important item on their menu - which Indicates total lack of planning. If you are interested in views, just go to the Geo-Deck, spend some time there and go to any nearby restaurants and have food that is worthy of your money.
It was a great experience. You can go on a couples date or take your family. Michelle G. Was one of our attendents and she was very professional and courteous to me and my date. The elevator attendent (Drew) was professional and very informative too.
AMAZING view of downtown Dallas with beautiful scenery, especially at night time. Aisa and Michelle G. were Great and Very Helpful!!! They even helped me get over my fear of heights!!!
