Great display of transportation. Also they have different special displays of older cars that are on show. Admission is reasonable and a great place to spend a few hours!
We rode a bus out toward the Museum and it took us awhile to get there. The museuam didn't seem to be in a real nice part of town but once we were inside, we had a lot of fun! There were a lot of Ford Mustangs and motorcycles to look at and was well worth the small fee!
This is a great museum where you can see some very rare transportation examples. The museum is very easy to get around it and you can get close to the cars for some great photos. Admission is very reasonable.
We live near Denver, so have been to the Forney many times! In fact, we have a car there in a temporary Mustang exhibit right now. We recently visited again with a group of friends. Each time we go, I find something different to enjoy. This time, we happened upon one of the train cars that had a tour guide. He very nicely took us all through the restored Pullman and it was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable. They have many cars, trains and motorcycles that are always on display, but also have rotating exhibits that change. Right now, it is Mustangs . Earlier this year, they had air-cooled VWs. So it is always changing. We have visited many car museums around the US and are proud that we have such a good museum right here in Denver!Tips: They do not allow purses, backpacks, etc. but do have free lockers for you to store them in. There is also a small area with tables and a few coloring sheets for the kids. One of our friends needed a wheelchair due to leg issues and they had those available.
I have been to a few transportation museums...while this is no Greenfield Village it does have some interesting items in its collection. If you have any kids interested in trains, cars or motorcycles this is probably worth the visit and can be completed in an hour or less...
We wanted to visit this museum for quite some time when and then it moved to its new location and we finally made it there!Like others have mentioned this a great museum, not too big with quite a collection of cars, motorcycles and trains. They have signs which give some details for each of their vehicles but we felt that they could have given just a tiny more information like where each vehicle (especially the antiques ones) were made.Other than that the museum is very interesting and was not crowded when we were there last Friday before lunch. They have a small shop and a gallery where they have miniature replicas of many vehicles, very impressive and fun collection.Great museum to visit!
Has lots of all types of transportation from traps to motorcycles, amphibeous, and trains. There's a made t you can take pictures in.
This museum is amazing. They have large locomotive engines in there that are simply awesome! Also, their displays of old cars, old trucks, old motorcycles, and even old farming equipment is perfecto.
Forney's collection of old-time cars is amusing to vehicle novices like me. And it entertained my car-expert stepfather as well. The main room is the highlight, while those looking for a quicker excursion can probably skip the die-cast miniatures collection.
Very pricey for what you see. In a very bad part of Denver, not the part of town you want to show to tourists. When we went it was freezing inside, so dress warm if it's cool. If you have been to any similar car museums such as in LA don't waste your $$.
