I was pleasantly surprised by this church. It's a tiny church but has magnificent frescoes that take your breath away. The guide was very friendly and did her best to tell us about the paintings. I highly recommend seeing this church if you visit Veliko Tarnovo.
If you like icons and frescoes you won't want to miss this church. To eyes accustomed to Western European art they look to be medieval though in fact they date from the 16th and 17th centuries.
It`s very nice and old church with some rich history linked to it. But you need a reservation in order to visit it - at least 30 min before the visit (there is a phone number on the fence). Despite that it`s worth it. There are some nice frescos in this church.
