I recommend getting there early and finding a good parking spot. Go have dinner and a fews drinks and then come over and watch a celebrity tennis match. We watched Andy Roddick verse Matts Wilander. It was most enjoyable, The venue has doesn't have a bad seat. The players were loose and Andy Roddick signed many autographs. Hopefully the Tennis center will continue to draw good matches.
The Delray tennis tournament around February has one of the best venue. It was some of the top Male tennis players in the world plus also the senior tour. There are no bad seats and the prices are the lowest of most of all the top tours. The restaurants in the area are diverse and excellent.
this world class tennis stadium is located right on Atlantic Avenue.ts good location and ample parking makes it ideal for large or small tennis functions. While there, walk over to Doc's for some ice cream...
Green clay and hard courts. Very active courts so you can always pick up a partner. I have also attended Fed-cup and pro matches here on several occasions. A perfect venue to get up close to the pros.
Beautiful, well kept grounds. Easy access and affordable memberships. Great pro events - men's tour, Chris Evert charity events and the occasional FedCup play.
My wife and I just spent 5 days relaxing in Delray Beach, FL. This was January trip to escape wintry north. The weather was perfect. We did open water swimming at the beach 4 of the 5 days. We played tennis every day and rode our bikes every day. Delray beach restaurants were moderately priced, friendly and the food was delicious. There was also plenty of fresh seafood to purchase for the times we cooled our own meals. Very pleasant town. We flew into West Palm Beach and rented a car. Cheers
If tennis is your passion, it is mine, this is a fantastic place to see high quality professional tennis (mostly satellite or pro-am exhibition). There are adequate stands for refreshment and the stadium is quite intimate with seemingly every seat having a great view. HINT: Try to stay on the wets side as the sun gets pretty intense on the east side during the afternoon.Prices for the matches are usually reasonable, parking is a bit of a hassle which suggests that you get here way early.
Very family friendly environment. Clean and well maintained. Decent vendor tents and food choices, with ok prices for a sporting event.
Very intimate side courts and stadium. Parking is tough unless you pay. All seats offer excellent viewing.
I'd HOPED this was 'B' league baseball, but the stadium itself is set up for grandstand TENNIS!?! It is beautifully old-fashioned and right on the fringe of a downtown that without it might otherwise fail to draw business. If watching tennis matches or hoping your kid is the next Martina Navratalova is your 'thing', this would make Delray 'your' kind of place.
