It took us some time to find the place but was worth of all troubles. Nice art shops and original building facades. Very nice atmosphere.
A town alive, this is Dresen also. The heavy history, the - for me - less interesting - baroque buildings and then this explosion of colour. It's quite a walk, but it's worth the effort
If you are in Neustadt already then pop by for a photo of the cool buildings and a pop into the arty shops. There is also a cute little Teestube which is like a tea shop but you lounge around on the floor. The scones are definitely not English though!
Of course you should visit this small cute place. Its not huge but you will definitely like it. Its really alternative and consists of hand-made shops. I recommend to visit during day light, when its not so dark.
A cute and arty passage way with a few interesting shops and cafes. Was interesting to see the musical house. Its not somewhere that you can spend more than 15 minutes though. Was worth the short trip from our hostel but i wouldnt travel to Dresden exclusively to see it
Lovely cafes, shops, and very cool art on the buildings. I loved it. A great difference to the older part of the city.
Worth a visit if you are in the Neustadt part of town-but I expected more "art"- there is some art there if you look hard enough...the building designs are quirky and fun and THEY really are the "art" here....a fun side trip while visiting Dresden. I was sorry not to have eaten at Lila Sosse....it gets good reviews and I didn't realize it was in this passage.....next time!!!
Not a bad stop on my tour around Dresden but it is overrated. A couple of the buildings are nice and there are 1 or 2 nice cafes within the passage, but apart from that nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was pleasant but the shops were all empty when I visited so I didn't venture in either. Worth a photo or two though for sure and I imagine it's a nice place to hang out in the summer.
It is extremely worth going to see the Neustadat part of town when visiting Dresden. One of the most interesting small hidden geams of this peculiar part of the town is called Kusthofpassage. This passage connects two of the main active roads in Neustadt (Alaunstr. and Goerlitzer Str.) and can be found 2 minutes walk from Alaunpark in Goerlitzer Str. or 2 minutes up from the corner of Alaunstr. and Louisenstr. The passage includes some small and cozy restaurants like Lila Soße and a nice Cafe like Tiki. It has a romantic architecture and is a must-see, especially when it is raining!
It is nice to go there and check it out. Especially, when you are not mislead by the word "Kunst" (Art) in the title. Since, what you get is a mix of 80ies and 90ies style shops with crafted goods. In a soon-to-be-upgraded area of Dresden that reminds me of the "Schanzenviertel" in Hamburg (only less chic and less expensive).
