The pizza was goodthe chicken was all rightIt was all pricey but cheaper than what you expect at an arena
I saw a dozen gals go in the Men's room and a half dozen guys go in the Women's restroom. You need to mark both entrances to each from the ceiling instead of just one side. People see the one bathroom and assume the next doorway is for the other sex. They walk in not know it is the same room on the other side of the wall.
We attended the James Taylor concert on Saturday, November 1st 2014 at the Wells Fargo Arena. This was our first visit to WFA. We have been to Hy-Vee hall, located right across the street and connected by a skywalk. There is 1 large parking lot and 1 small parking lot available nearby. Several parkades are in the area too. And a lot of on street parking. We parked on street, about 3 blocks away. This was at 7pm. Not knowing what was available inside the Wells Fargo Arena, we ate dinner before we arrived. A walking tour around the concourse inside WFA showed us many food and drink vendors. Many of the food vendors looked very good to me. For the concert we were seated on the floor, right side 13th row. Good sight to the stage and the sound was great. The only bad thing was once the concert was over. They do not have enough routes to take from the floor to the concourse. Too many people trying to funnel through too few aisles. The aisles are there, they just have the floor barriers blocking them. Some people just jumped over them to get out. All in all we had a great time and would attend other concerts or events at the Iowa Events Center/Wells Fargo Arena.
This is a great place to see a concert. The people here were all very helpful. There's a restaurant here that is great to get reservations at before a show - the prices are reasonable, the food is good. Everyone was pleasant. Parking is close and reasonably priced.
Went to a concert here and so appreciated the staff's kindness and helpful demeanor when I was having trouble with my tickets (I had purchased them through a third party company). Seating was great, will definitely come back for another event!
Not sure this would be true if you were in the nosebleed section but the seats in the 100's section all seem pretty good. The sound quality was excellent, video screens were clear and well situated. The flow of people even with large crowds seemed orderly.
Attended a concert here and was very pleased. The acoustics were good, accessibility is good and plenty of food and beverages.
I have ran Dam to Dam twice and the Des Moines Marathon. Those races use this location for packet pickup and the race convention. It has easy access with the skywalk and there is plenty of parking with the nearby ramps and streets. The mail room is huge and gives plenty of space to move around. The bathrooms are a bit hard to find. The name here is misleading. The Convention Complex is NOT attached to the Iowa Events Center (Wells Fargo Arean, Vets Auditorium, Hy-Vee Hall), it is several blocks away.
I hope this is the Events Center across from the Wells Fargo Arena! I thought the sign on the building read HyVee Events Center! Anyway there are 3 floors to this Center and it was 106 degrees outside, but marvelously COOL INSIDE! We attended the 2012 Natl. Oldsmobile Car Show here and thought this Center very well maintained. There is a sky walk across the street to another building also. The concession stand is small but the lines move quickly and the food was a suprise---pretty good! Plenty of chairs scattered along the walls for us wives who needed to sit and rest while our husbands talked cars! There was also comfortable seating inside the main entrance while waiting on our hotel shuttle bus!
I recently attended a 4-day conference here. Great food & friendly staff/servers. Seats were comfortable and room temperature was perfect!
